True, but what I've seen from reviews, it doesn't seem like it lived up to being a game

I had hope for it, but was always prepared for disappointment.
Actually reminds me of the hype around Spore and the initial disappointment there, but the difference was I still really liked Spore and wasted a shit ton of time on it....

some of the mods that have been made for it make it a lot better. Mods like "Big things" (greatly increases tree and plant sizes) and "Low flight" (gives you full flying control, fly as low as you want through caves and even underwater) make it amazingly fun to explore. There's even a mod that puts the huge creatures back into the game "Bigger creatures".
So far they've only been posting fixes to make the game run like it should but hopefully in the future they'll post some content related mods.
We shouldn't have to mod it to enjoy it but i'm well past my refund time on steam so might as well make the best of a shitty situation.

That's pretty jewish.

usually if a game gets hyped its either by the devs with speeches or shit that should be taken with a grain of salt or by its fanbase by speculation and rumors. No mans sky is different... it showed us battles with fleets in space, actual planetary movements, environments based on the planet´s location in their solar systems (think about the difference between venus and earth for example), really lush and vibrant planets full of critters, fully destroyable environments and so much more. We literally saw it and we expected what was shown to us. Nothing jewish about ordering and buying a sandwich with ham, cheese and salad like it was advertised and shown to you and only getting the plain bread yet you pay for the full sandwich. Thats atleast my view on it
