Yeah it's not like you have a debt of insane proportions that you need to work on by cutting funding to the most unnecessary shit.
Fuckin' let them compete in the free market, see how many people actually give a shit about it to pay voluntarily for it.
Cutting 150 million is not going to make a dent in the debt, even over a long time.
Most of our spending goes into the military, which is a bit of a dilemma. We've become the world's police so we do need the massive military and if we were to drop out of that role to reduce our spending and just do our own defense, things in the world would likely go to shit in some way
no fucking way would I trust the UN to do that role that they've technically had for decades
This is one of those times that the government spending actually does help the lower classes because their funds allow ticket prices to be more reasonable, $100-$200 which allows lower classes to enjoy the experiences with only a bit of money management. This is in contrast to it being only for the rich where each ticket would cost thousands.
Also, I need to quote Churchill on this one "The arts are essential to any complete national life. The State owes it to itself to sustain and encourage them….Ill fares the race which fails to salute the arts with the reverence and delight which are their due."
Turns out that one about "if not the arts, what are we fighting for" quote was fake, not surprising honestly
- Wait, is this something from berserk or just something similar…
When everyone talks shit...
No. Other than a medieval setting this has zero relation to berserk
Just reminded me of it
