There's a place in my city (Nottingham) where people are allowed to do graffiti. It actually keeps the rest of this shithole quite graffiti-free.

No, he sent her the message knowing she wouldn't find out what it was immediately, since he used his own private code. So years later, when she had worked on it and they were more comfortable together, he really meant it once she finally got it down.

This is why the divorce rate is currently so high; people always take things at face value instead of looking deep down.

Red thumb shit storm ahead.

Thanks for the congrats! I'm pretty stoked about it.

Yeah, I used to have amazing credit! 752 was my old score. Then... Some little cheeky fucker... (read: an ex of mine) swiped my shit, opened three credit cards, maxed them out, and dumped my credit score in the trash. Now that I've financially recovered from that mess, I probably should look into making payments to raise my credit score. That way when it comes time to buy a house, they won't look at my loan application and just laugh.

Ahh, I was not aware they were all the same car. You learn something everyday, I suppose!

Nice, not bad at all- I don't think it looks rice, and you've got solid HP in there. It's always nice to surprise the occasional ricer with the "shocker" decal on his rear window by pulling off the line way faster than him. Due to aftermarket additions, my Tibby pushes around 225 WHP, and it weighs 3050lbs. Not bad for a $4,000 car, if I do say so myself!

On a side note, I really like the interior of the Genesis as well.... I think it's really growing on me.

youve got a real nice decent car right there, 225 Wheel HP is very respectable; I probably get similar or just a bit more because the 270 is flywheel. Not bad for a 4k car indeed.

Ugh, the civics and subbies in this area are like a plague. They mount those fart-cannon mufflers on the back, and think it sounds good. I have a custom low-tone exhaust custom made from Ferrari on my Tiburon... I can't stand the swagfag civics.

Well hey, if it's bang-for-the-buck that you are after, definitely! Honestly, if it weren't for my golden rule of car buying, I'd probably get a Genesis sooner rather than later, as it would have more room for my unborn baby on the way.

Cyril's golden rule of carbuying: Never make payments, always buy outright with cash.

If you like the styling of the Toyobaru, why not just get a Toyota FRS? It'd cost less.

Also, I recommend a supercharger over a turbocharger. For the same reasons that I always recommend a Short-Ram intake over a Cold-Air intake.

So many swagfags in my area it's ridiculous, riding around with their illest stickers and their stanced cars and fart cannons like you said. I have an aftermarket exhaust too but mine is genuine from Nismo so it sounds good. My car is modified a tiny bit (just intake/exhaust/lowered a few inches) but I'm not even sure I'd consider it rice and it's nowhere near as bad as the swagfags. It is sort of a sleeper actually because that 270 HP in a 3200 lb car makes for something like a high 5 second 0-60 time which is very respectable for something that isn't meant to be a sports car. Ive surprised a few of these civic losers who have 100 HP and 2 cylinders less than me. Pic related is my car.

FR-S/BRZ/GT86 is all the same exact car, there's just 3 of them and Idk why. There is a slight difference in price but theyre all like 25k+. If I was to spend that much on a car it would be an E46 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue because that's been one of my dream cars for a while.

As for your rule; I try to buy outright with cash (that's how I paid for this car which was 12.5 grand) but sometimes it's not a bad idea because monthly payments help raise your credit score a lot. That's if you can afford it after which, which I very much can. I'm extremely responsible with my money, my friends actually call me a Jew all the time.

Congrats on the baby btw!

I don't like assuming people are out to be hateful until they've proven to be so.

Nice pick, but aren't the roads already littered with corvettes? You'll never get someone pulling up along side you on the road shouting out their window "What car is that?!" in a corvette... (had that happen last week. lol) The big v8 does sound nice though. Can't blame ya there!

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure. I'm really picky with what I do and don't like in a car, as far as looks and reliability. The Tiburon fits my "style" of likes on both ends, so I do plan on keeping it for a while. On the other hand, I'm really diggin' the power that comes from the 3.8 Lambda engine that the Genesis Coupes have, and their body style is somewhat similar to the Tiburons. Just with more power A lot more.
#153 - swimmingprodigy (16 hours ago) [-]
The Genesis is a very good car, in fact the only bad thing people seem to be able to say about it is that the windows look like a penis. Which personally wouldn't bother me too much because i wouldnt care.

You'd be surprised about the Corvette thing; where I live in Queens, NYC I see them surprisingly rarely, maybe a few times a month. I'm not really one to be a unique special snowflake anyway, I'm more for 'bang for the buck' practicality so it wouldnt bother me that no one asks me 'what car is that?'. The C5 Vettes will be so cheap soon and theyre such great cars that I dont think I can justify NOT getting one. And insurance in relatively cheap because it's mainly old mid-life crisis guys driving Corvettes which doesnt bother me either. I'd probably be the only 19 year old in a Corvette cuz all the other swagfags are in Civic Si's or Impreza STis.

I'd like to own a Toybaru GT86/BRZ but that's for sometime way in the future because theyre damn expensive now since theyre so new. Or I could do pretty much the same thing with a turbocharged Miata.

Simply put, because I love the body styling. It suits my needs just fine, and I love the way it looks. I'm not really looking to set any speed records, and I've never taken it to the track. I'm 6'4" tall, my options for 2 door coupes are pretty limited because of how long my stupid legs are. lol.

I can fit in it, and I love the way it looks. That's why.
#149 - swimmingprodigy (16 hours ago) [-]
fair enough. I like how you didn't automatically brand me a hater and flame me. Good answer.

I think my next car (in 2 or 3 years) is going to be a C5 Corvette simply because by that time theyre going to be pretty damn cheap (probably 12-17k considering you can get them now for 14-19k) and theyre fast, look great, fantastic drivetrain that will run forever, and I've always liked big V8s.. What about you? Do you plan on sticking with the Tiburon for a long while?

I was one of 4 maintenance guys. 2 of the others had mothers that worked there and the other one had special needs, so in turn, I was the only one my boss was able to express his anger towards without getting problems. Plus, one of the other guys there became a massive douche and started ignoring me after I yelled at him (He was eating ice cream during the hours we still had to work, forcing me to finish up one of the jobs that he didn't do even though I had my two cousins waiting in the parking lot with no airconditioning, [plus one is severely autistic, so he basically made my autistic cousin wait in a hot car for a while because he wanted to eat ice cream]). So after he started being a dick to me, even though he used to be one of my best friends, I decided that the pay (which was far under minimum wage) wasn't good enough, and I left. My boss was also a major douche to me on the way out, claiming I needed my hand held for everything I did, even though he always was the one interfering with what I was doing without me asking for his help.

What makes me laugh though is that I was out for one day, and when I came back the next day, my boss was complaining about how the day's job was done terribly, and that we needed to make sure we never fucked up that badly again. Or, in other words, when I'm not there, things get fucked up.

wow, sounds like a pretty shitty story. Nice to know I dont have these problems and I work for over minimum wage pay. You should try lifeguarding. It's worth the 300 bucks u pay for the course

Hmm... I am part Cuban... this could work
User avatar #96 to #95 - swimmingprodigy (08/09/2012) [-]
do eet. Idk about your local area, but where I am, EVERY SINGLE YMCA is short on lifeguards so youre guaranteed a job

But at the same time, I'd like to be able to focus on mein writing a bit. I'm still 16, so this may be one of the last few summers I have to work on my novels before constant work.. so I don't know
User avatar #98 to #97 - swimmingprodigy (08/09/2012) [-]
you dont need constant work. ur 16 that means ur gonna be a junior right?

And u can set your own hours and it doesn't have to be constant work. For example, I only work Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays

yeah, i guess that's true. but being a lifeguard also seems like a job that needs aLOT of fucos, which I do not have :I
User avatar #101 to #99 - swimmingprodigy (08/09/2012) [-]
lolno.

Youre SUPPOSED to be focused, but most of the time i zone out. Actually a lot of the time i zone out. No one gives a fuck. Dont worry. I highly recommend it, easiest job on the planet

lol, very true.
There was one girl in my old school that was a big-time stoner. She even took pictures of herself with a massive bag of pot and put it on facebook. Now she's the head life guard at the pool of the town i used to live in. :P
