Gah. Figures. I might just end up cutting down the bayonet for my 91/30. They say that they're meant to be hard as balls to remove, but damn it, it's such a hassle just putting the bitch on.

Well, the bayonet for the M44 is welded to the barrel, so...I have no clue how you'd even go about doing such a thing.

No. It's not. The bayonet for M44s is attached to a folding lug. That may be welded to the barrel, I'm not sure. All I know is they sell replacement M44 lugs. So, I might be able to work something out for that.
