 Consider yourself acknowledged. Now I'd like one person to acknowledge me when I say this: "Don't sneeze or cough." I once sneezed myself into paralysis by way of a spontaneous bleed in my spine (5 years ago now, when I was ~16). Had surgery and had 6 cervical vertebrae cut so the doctors could get in to my spine to relieve the pressure of the blood that pooled there. I've been through a lot, my medical records are rather large because of a genetic blood disorder I have but this... Was by far the most painful thing I had ever experienced. I had to relearn to walk, breathe and build up extra muscle in my neck to hold up the weight that the bones they removed used to hold. I couldn't lift my head off my bed for the first few days. Also couldn't shit for the week that I was hospitalized for. Remember kids, sneezing can kill you. But at least I was "trying" to and I firmly believe trying is better than not trying #296 -

Anyone above the age of 13 who gets hit by a car and isn't disabled in some way or at least not on the street deserves it. Many pedestrians in my city and around the world get injured or die from car accidents. 99% of the time it's their own fault or could've been prevented if they had looked both ways. I myself have never been hit by a car but I did get a close call once. Luckily for me I'm not a moron and knew the bitch wasn't paying attention so I was already mentally prepared to jump to safety rather than taking a truck to the body and likely breaking a few ribs, a hip, and maybe an arm or shoulder. tl;dr if you're not a kid and not disabled and you get hit by a car you deserve it. It needs to be like it is in the poor countries. The bigger the vehicle the more right of way it has. Fuck you if you're dumb enough to think physics will bend just so you don't get hit by a car. | ||

supersixfourr (12/04/2015) [-]  Pros: -Most strip clubs in NW per citizen -Best beers are brewed right here in town at privately established brewery's -Just had our 10th bridge over the Willamette River and 5th Trimet Max train line opened (seriously we have buses and trains everywhere) -Saturday market sells hand-made merchandise -Food carts everywhere! -Lots of people ride bikes and there are many bike lanes -Marijuana stores popping up like crazy recently (I dont smoke personally) -Plenty of hiking areas, rec centers and parks to be at Cons -Shootings occur pretty often (You'd be surprised, not like LA but still) -Illegal to pump your own gas (one of few states with this stupid law) -Cops are literally everywhere so watch your driving -There seems to be some sort of construction on some street at all times -Rental rates just skyrocketed from $700 (2007) to $1300 (2014) -Rush hour SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you ever make it to Portland maybe you and I could have a beer (if you are of age). I know plenty of good places to eat. Here are a few suggestions -Hotcake House (Open 24/7) -Angry Unicorn -Voodoo Donuts -Portland City Grill -Ruth's Chris Steak House -Shut up and Eat (yeah sounds silly but awesome food) That's all for now! | ||

Lyons was only in charge of one chapter, and he was considered utter shit by every other chapter.  Yeah when Elder Lyons acted like an actual person with compassion, morality, and a care about his fellow man, every chapter thought he was a complete bastard. That was the Brotherhood of Steel I fell in love with, but this really shows how not worth following the Enclave of Steel is. On that, we're agreed. But, Fallout 3 made the misstep of making Lyons the Wasteland Jesus and forcing you to side with him. I can understand not letting you join the Enclave, because they think you're a subhuman piece of mutant shit, but there should have been a second or third option. | ||
