The main character is just starting high school. In middle school, he had constructed an elaborate fantasy with an alter ego for himself "Dark Flame Master". Understandably, he wishes to pretend this never happened due to embarrassment. However, in his class is a girl who is still living in a similar fantasy world with imaginary powers. She had seen him recite one of his "spells", and pretty much latches onto him. It''s funny, but the things she does are so embarrassing that it hurts to watch it for the first 6 or 8 episodes.
