I can agree with you there to a point but I think if we give it a little time then this might do it after they have their tantrum. I find that the extremism seems to swing like a pendulum and one side drives the other side crazy back and forth.

Also while I do not like the extremists myself if a candidate comes up who is good (meaning probably a centrist) who is a democrat I would not want to avoid good leadership just for the act of teaching the democrats a lesson.

I suppose, it's just that people like Keith Ellison who may be the next DNC chairman looks rather worrisome. But we'll see next election or we won't if Trump ends up doing a good job.

I tend to care less for party lines as much as I do actual results so I only want them to stay in if they are doing well. If not we move on.

I would usually agree with you but after this election I thought the democrats would reduce some of their extremism and become more centrist unfortunately it looks like they are thinking of doing the exact opposite with some of their new leadership choices. Witch is why I want to give some losses to the democrats so they can really think about their parties direction.
