Yes, vaping can be a supposed healthy alternative in exceedingly small doses, but there's already suggestion that it's actually more detrimental to your respiratory system with the kind of use that these people put themselves through.

Also, there's been no extended medical testing to even support that those small doses are significantly better. It's the new snake oil.

What I was saying has little to nothing to do with how much money tobacco companies are making but how the human respiratory system works and why it's bad to have massive amounts of chemical-laden water vapor in your lungs and how stupid motherfuckers don't see why this is a problem just because there's more recorded medical testing to reaffirm "hey, smoking isn't that good for you".

Just because something has been identified as being bad for you doesn't mean that every fucking thing else is automatically better. It's like scoffing at someone for not listening to reports that driving a nail through your wrist is a bad fucking idea, then turning around and driving a screw through your elbow just because there isn't prior documentation of it being bad for you.

They're both shitty ways to respond to an oral fixation, but at least one demographic isn't entirely elitist over the other and hell fucking bent on ignoring every social quota attached to its counterpart simply by the logic of "this is slightly different, and nobody's really positive that it's bad for me or those around me yet".

That I can understand, but I'm still not talking about the lack of ethical honesty in the advertising industry (it's a bit oxymoronic to even imply otherwise, so the issue isn't really worth debating in the first place). What I'l talking about is how everyone suddenly jumped onto the ship of the idea of vaping and suddenly started proclaiming it as multiplicatively safer than smoking, but only in concentrations multiplicatively smaller than people started using them at.

It is a fad that can hurt tobacco company sales, and it is a really popular fad that a pot of people are latching onto as a suitable substitute for tobacco consumption. THe shitty part is that there was such little medical testing to actually prove or disprove the reputability of the health claims aside from the producers dropping misleading statistics and buzzwords until people became too complacent to bother questioning them.

Actually, I've never smoked in my life aside from secondhand by being around smokers on a well-ventilated patio or external smoking area, and I find the smell of vape flavoring to be pungent and obnoxious, and generally blown in peoples' faces like some asshole bigwig might do with a cigar as a show of contempt, and the people who do this apparently see no problem with that. It'll make your clothes smell like cheap perfume and lucky charms for weeks at a time. Yeah, it's fucking disgusting, not to mention potentially dangerous for people who have allergies to certain artificial sweeteners, which are generally common in vape flavoring.

I honestly don't consider people who vape to be that big of a deal, but when someone pulls out this brick of a battery with a hookah mouthpiece attached to one end indoors, they're pretty much going to be labeled as That Guy in my mind.

Also, one should really take into consideration the difference between Vapers and People who (Vape) use vapor-based cigarette substitutes. People who vape just have an unfortunate oral fixation or nicotine addiction and don't like the stigma and health risks associated with smoking real cigarettes. Vapers are the douchebags mentioned above.
