I would say that many if not most rpgs only have one outcome. Look at the whole Final Fantasy franchise. Not a single one has alternate endings. While alternate endings aren't a new idea (see Chrono Trigger,) it didn't become really popular until recent years, and I think that not many games have done it well.

The zooming fits in well for the most part, these are super-soldiers that can do ridiculous things, although I will say zooming in on a pistol is a bit wierd, but it works.

The perks aren't horribly game-changing. Even if you don't like them, you can play multiplayer till your heart fucking gives out without even touching perks.
