Because you have what are essentially two different nations trying to occupy the same piece of land. Honestly the only thing that ever kept America together was federalism and states rights giving everyone enough local breathing room to live how they wanted to live and leave people in the other states alone. Sometimes there has to be federal interference of course but this should be the exception, now it was become the norm. In that environment the stakes get raised higher and higher and grid lock becomes all the more common. So no one is happy because the only government that matters anymore, the federal one, becomes neither more conservative or more liberal.

I am glad though I am not the only one that realises Obama is Conservative. Media has convinced everyone that Democrat = Liberal and Republican = Conservative. You can have a multitude of ideological positions in both parties. There's also liberal Republicans.

Liberal has become a washed term, used by both leftists and rightists to label the Left as something bad. Liberal = Liberty = good. The thing in the U.S. is, the true Liberals are pretty much those who identify as Libertarian.

Lincoln was just flat out more blunt and much more fits the "obama is a dictator" position that Fox News has tried to paint for years. Suspension of Habeas Corpus, imprisonment and deportation of critics, the use of martial law, and simply put the fact that Lincoln was a flat out racist.

To be fair... Eiizabeth Warren blows most politicians (even in Europe) out of the water with her blunt, to-the-point, whole-hearted goodness. I mean, holy fucking shit she knows what the problems are and she is working her ass off to bring real change. She is quoted saying something along the lines that she dislikes the regulations and restrictions that were put on the banks after the recession and that she wouldn't have supported them at all because if she had had her way the legislation would have broken the banking giants into pieces!

She cuts through the crap like a lightsaber through butter and holy shit it is so fucking refreshing to see a Politician who not only genuinely means what she is saying but also happens to not be a fucking moron and is saying things that make sense!

it isn't a stunt. this entire flamewar was never a stunt, it was a scandal that turned into misinformation. and she was never playing victim, more or less related at all to GG. originally she was posting feminist videos online but then included herself in the flamewar months later. she was posing as an activist. you're talking about brianna wu. but again, it wasn't a stunt.

There could have been a small piece of malware that infected a few machines and got a few pieces of information that was then blown wayyy out of proportion into an "international North Korean crisis" because the movie was getting bad reviews in pre-screening and they thought it would help them stir up some interest.

Not saying that's what happened, I'm way too uninformed, but saying it was a publicity stunt doesn't necessarily mean it didn't happen at all - the reaction and aftermath could have been stretched.
