He never said he'd disprove that they're there, he said he's currently too busy to go over to Africa, but he'll get a video of him talking to such a kid if he ever goes over there. Did you reply to the wrong comment or something?

WTF style (the olympic one) is only point based, the main focus is on competitive sparring, yes, but it's probably one of the fastest martial arts out there, even if they don't know how to use their hands in a fight and don't really have any practice at blocking hand techniques. I really wouldn't want to face a 45 degree kick to the ribs without one of those protective thingys on. Either way, I don't really like it.
ITF, on the other hand, teaches the fundamentals of fighting in its sparring rather than just good ways to get points in competiton. Plus, unlike WTF, sparring is only one equal part of many, so there's a load of weapon defence in there, grabs, locks, throws, not to mention the patterns, the destruction, the linework, the general fitness drills, all that stuff.
I'm not saying they're exclusive to ITF, but they certainly take up a much bigger part of the art than they do in WTF.

That depends, firstly there are 2 schools of Taekwondo, One of them (Kukkiwon style) is the type practised in the olympics, which is as you say point sparring, but this is actually very different to the full martial art (It was adapted to suit the olympics better by making it more different to karate, hich was already in at the time).
The other style is known as Chang hon or ITF style- which was started by a eneral in the Korean army, and is a full millitary martial art, much like Sambo, Krav Maga etc. It was used by the tiger division in vietnam.
Both are pretty effective when done right- unfortunately a lot of instructors just teach the sport side now, which weakens the art somewhat.

i have practiced some capoeira and even thou you are right on some parts you are partly wrong.the way capoeira mestres teach differs from person to person some dont teach any contact at all and some do heavy contact.my own mestre only taught us some tackles and leg sweeps(thou he did teach us a midair leg sweep that ended up breaking one dudes arm) and some go to extreme lengths in contact(worse i have heared is real life knife used in training)
also capoeira has some very good kicks and tackles to use in combat if you know how to use em.but yeah its mostly done for fun and body discipline

my cousin is in taekwondo and is getting his second bar on his black belt. We're both 17, we're about the same size and weight, he's more fit than me, but i use simpler technique than a strict martial art and i am more capable than him in a fight. Like we're both in our stances but i can pin him down 9 out of 10 times

I practice Kyokushin Karate, the style of fighting (kumite) is very straight forward, no fancy spinning or flying jump kicks. It strongly resembles kick-boxing, actually, but with a greater variety of strikes including open and close-handed, and slightly fancier looking blocking. As for being too small, I've never heard of anything like that, anyone can learn it where I go.

You'd be surprised how many lawyers could make this case valid.
Someone would not be paying attention, attempt to sit in the seat, fall on their ass, bruise their bottom and embarrass themselves. Then they'd take the owners of the company to court.
Human ignorance is probably the scariest thing on this planet.
Plastic bags must have "Do not put this over your head. Suffocation will occur" printed on them because people have put a plastic bag over their head, suffocated, and their families sued the company because "They didn't know that would happen". They won too.
