| True, but look at the transition from DX9 to DX10 and DX11. Only recently we've been getting games that require DX11 as a minimum, and in most games that don't require it, they're a lot more demanding to run in DX11. I know DX12 is supposed to have a bunch of performance benefits that look awesome on paper, but we've all seen this way too many times without actually delivering. Worst of all is how ridiculously terrible multicore CPU usage is in games, still now when quad cores or even 6/8-core CPUs are the norm. But back to the matter, Windows 7 will still be supported till 2020. By then 10 (or even 11?) will be more polished and actually worth using, so unless DX12 makes a huge difference, I'm sure as hell not upgrading (again). | ||
