As a merchant marine, I am not in the military. There was a time where my commission would be equivalent to that of one in the Navy, nowadays they use us as contractors at times. Military Sealift Command works for the Navy.
The officer training program I am going through is Military LIKE, and I believe qualifies me to proceed to a direct commissioning further on... and I could Dcomm into the coast guard upon commission here...


but I began officer training in August of 2010.
My brother is a naval enlistee as of March 2009.

Former CAP cadet of 4 years. Chief Master Sergeant and Cadet commander.
Now I'm Army, son! ahah. Private 3rd class. I've got promotions lined when I get to basic. E-2 for six months in, and E-3 for a referral :D
