Why can't you just enjoy content normally without complaining about every little thing? It's fucking annoying. We get it, srvhendrix. You don't like stuff, just like most people. Congratulations

Well, yeah. We know that now. I'm saying that they didn't know that back then. Back then it seemed like a great idea. But there's a reason that field trauma kits come with pressure bandages and quik-clot now.

Well it was only a hundred years ago, they weren't stupid. I know we've come along way since then but I honestly don't believe it took all this time to think 'Maybe we shouldn't jam things in bullet wounds.'

Well, it sure helps slow down the bleeding until they get proper medical care
User avatar #39 - dedaluminus (02/04/2014) [-]
Exactly, srvhendrix. It's not designed to heal, it's designed to stem blood loss until the wound can receive proper care. Basically it's the world's most hardcore band-aid
#43 - srvhendrix (02/04/2014) [-]
My point is that it would probably be no help to the internal organs or veins/arteries depending on where the wound is. Most bullet wounds that don't kill are very small. Forcing something like a tampon inside it is going to be more of a hindrance than a help. Why do you think when someone is shot and is bleeding profusely, it's advised to put pressure on the wound instead of trying to plug it up?
