 I worked at a call center where you could make $13 an hour taking calls not counting sales. However, even with pay that good you still can't reasonably afford college because you have to pay for your rent, food, water, gas, electricity, internet and other basic living costs plus the college tuition fees, plus the books the professors force you to buy. That's more than you can possibly earn even with overtime given you need time off and time to sleep, plus time for your actual college classes. So with that said you can only do it through loans, and college student loans are brutal. So in the long run you are so fucked unless you get a good job once you graduate, which would actually be fine if people weren't fucking majoring in English.  loans aren't the only way. scholarships and grants exist. there's a scholarship for designing a zombie apocalypse survival plan, for christ sake. also, as long as you have access to the book, they can't make you buy it, and there's a large number of ways to get college books for free. | ||
