| highlight or copy paste the parts that were written weirdly and i can explain them in a different way. if it doesnt matter than why did you bring it up in the first place? still disagree, the kids are at an age where their maturity level isnt developed enough to understand the reality of the situation..this leads to emotional responses that muddy the ideology behind the movement. Its a fad. The demographics speak for themselves, there is a reason that college kids make the majority of protesters in many instances, as well as the fact that older people do not participate in protests as often over the years...people literally stop giving a shit. likewise, my father marched in protests before i was even born...i grew up learning about ghandi, martin luther king, and cesear chavez through my father. im neutral, but i can tell that a huge piece of fat of the black lives movement are kids who just want to be part of something. | ||

| That only makes no difference who raised them. I have read black literature before, and from personal accounts there was a recurring themes of the parents being "content" with the how black were treated since they lived and fought through a time when blacks were treated worse (example, father lived through segregation..segregation passed, previous generation was content, however next generation faced different injustices...although obviously at a more tame form). Those are recent events, likeiwse the problem is that they are sensationalized by a few who were irate of the actions. while it is true that there may be some cases in which blacks are discriminated more so than other races (statistically, blacks are arrested more..however they are not charged at the same rates as whites..leading to an assumption that blacks are profiled more by law enforcement) it is still anomolous on a national scale...and that is why it is fad like, national attention loses the ability to focus on areas that have higher rates of police brutality, while focusing on attention that do not have the problem in the first place. this obviosuly leads to a divide in which law enforcement is singled out on a national level, as are black people on the opposite...THUS, it creates the problem of generalising and sterotyping cases insteag of viewing them on a case by case basis while thinking critically rahter than emotionally. Your response is really difficult to read. Regardless, It does matter who raised them. Kids hear about what happened in the past, and they are determined not to let it happen again. That's why its the kids out protesting and not the parents. I really don't agree with your reasoning for it being a fad. However, plenty of things that are still here today have been called fads. Hopefully this "fad" will only end when the problem is cut off at the source. In the meantime, body cams are an amazing step forward in equality, at least until the videos stop being released. newsone.com/3095413/lapd-refuses-to-release-body-cam-footage-of-homeless-man-shooting/ oh... highlight or copy paste the parts that were written weirdly and i can explain them in a different way. if it doesnt matter than why did you bring it up in the first place? still disagree, the kids are at an age where their maturity level isnt developed enough to understand the reality of the situation..this leads to emotional responses that muddy the ideology behind the movement. | The thing is though that while it goes back decades, the demographics of the black lives matter movement is presumably younger adults who have not lived for as long or have been at a mature age for past events aside from present ones. The reaction that has been happening is fad like due to anonomolous cases sensationalized by the media, this in turn makes the situation emotionally pertinent to those who have a personal connection to the issue, and because this issue is being revived at a point in time were it is "disconnected" from past events the demographics it is influencing do not have sufficient attachment to historical events to react accordingly. Yes, but who raised these kids? Their parents lived through Rodney King riots Their grandparents lived through segregation And Black Lives Matter originated due to body cameras and increased evidence of unfair shooting. Back 5 years ago, you didn't see the events, it was easier to believe some 'suspicious' shootings actually went down as cops said. Now we have a video of a fleeing man shot multiple times in the back.
