Okay. I feel the real reason we didn't see much good of the Legion is because we never saw any of their home cities. All we saw were their warriors and their war camps. However, there are things we did learn about them.

-They have no raiders
-They have no junkies
-They have a strong sense of loyalty
-They have a strong sense of duty

On the other hand they have slaves and unequal gender views. I can understand putting people to work based on their strengths (women aren't as good at fighting hand-to-hand.) So really, The security and lack of corruption that the Legion has at this point is admirable. What we'd need to do is instill the faith of the Legion into whoever holds the position of leadership instead of only Caesar. They should make slaves more than just women, since they're not as good at physical labour. Get some man slaves in there.

In short, I just think that the added security is better for the wasteland. Think of the old addages about Rome before it fell. It was a great place (for the most part/as long as you were a citizen) for the most part. I just think that after a little bit of cultural improvement, and if the Legion was loyal to their leader instead of just Caesar, it would be a good faction to control the Mojave.

The Courier (with 100 speech) has some good points concerning this. As you may or may not know, you can avoid fighting Legate Lanius altogether by telling him the future of the legion should it succeed in taking the dam. The vast area would cause the weaknesses of the empire to multiply.

Also, the Legion is barbaric, it's only good for those on the tippy top. Thats not good for everyone.

I do know because I'm a completionist that does every plot line and I always play speech characters.

Anyway, that was just my two cents. Legion has some great stuff going for it, just like the NCR has its own things. If you could just mesh the best of both, that would be great for the Mojave, I think.

Well I can explain my reasoning to you, if you like. I'm not saying that the Legion is immediately better, it does need some work, but I think it would work out for the best after some turmoil. I'm not really going to go to the trouble of explaining it if you don't want to hear it, though.

The legion is luddite in nature. A society built on slave labour actively opposing scientific development will stagnate and collapse. Especially after they run out of tribes to conquer.

They're not perfect. They need change. I just feel like they could be a better force in the long run than the NCR. Check >#118

jpg has good compression algorithms for most things (most things being pictures without sharp luminosity changes). This can be a huge deal when working with large amounts of data.

While I should point out that dogs have been artificially bred to accentuate their differences, yeah, it's pretty much the same scenario.

I see a dog with black and white spots. This dog is large and has a long tail. I call this dog a dalmatian. Oh, now I see a tiny dog with very short hair. This dog has light brown hair on its back and white fur on its belly. I call this dog a chihuahua.

The differences are extremely noticeable, as noticeable, I would say. For instance Negroids have higher hips.



A single strain of hair is more than enough to determine what race it belongs to.

Depends on the food that they eat and the area that the environment they grew up in (higher humidity = shorter noses).

The environment, however, does not effect intellectual ability. Culture does.

Intellectual abilities aren't required to be different for races to be. That being said, there are differences in brains between the races. I'm no expert here, so I can't go into meaningful detail. However, south-eastern Asians's brains are wired so they can make decisions split seconds faster than other people.


We are different, and it needs to be recognized, if only for medical reasons.

If what you said is actually a valid study. That "wired" would be referring to the brain, which is insanely complex, being wired from the culture to be more in-tuned to decision making from better education, better parenting, and so many other cultural things.

If you put an Asian that grew up their whole life in, say, Kenya, in that study, they would perform like a Kenyan.
