CG doesn't bother me but I know a lot of people prefer non-CG. I'm liking this adaptation so far.
#4 - Don't even bother. It sounds much more fun than it actually is.  [+] (2 replies) 07/23/2016 on The world needs more Sacha... +70

Freaking bones ruin everything from eating any fish besides salmon steak and stabbing infant mammals of all species. It's just not for me.

That's an interesting FB, I actually haven't played much recently (mostly waiting for DFHack updates, which is always behind) otherwise I'd have posted some screenshots of my own FBs I encountered.
If you like Tengu's I suggest trying out Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. Did you have an entire fort using the Tengu race, or did you manage to get some via applied citizens?

That was before petitions became a thing, so all-tengu. They were quite fun with their castes, custom weapons and crops, but the mod isn't being updated.

The crab wasn't even the best FB encounter. One time I had a theropod with deadly dust running around in the mines. Being afraid of said dust I ordered to pasture a dragon near the entrance and prayed for the best.
A dwarf arrived with the dragon just in time to keep the beast from entering the fortress proper. Both monsters used their breath attack at the same time creating a cloud of boiling FB extract and smoke. I waited with anticipation for the cloud to disappear, while the millitary dwarves stationed on the other side of the door just in case.
Finally the smoke vanished revealing the victor - the dragon stood there with only several flesh wounds and a missing claw. The dwarves were safe once again. Until a tantrum spiral turned the fort into hell butchering 50 dingoes is good for fps, but miasma is bad for morale .
