anon (07/24/2015) [-] I had a polyp once...I've learned it while after huge infection and nose stuffed badly for 2 weeks, in the morning while I blew it something blocked it...from inside. I blew really hard and could not blow it out but finally blew out something that looked like an aborted fetus about 2cm long and some blood. After the most disgusting google search I've found out it was in fact a polyp. I suspected having one due to reguar sinus pain but never got around fixing this. As it turns out sometimes they can break off on their own. Fun fact: every time I drank beer my sinus/nasal cavity or whatever hurt really badly for a long time. So I basically gave up alcohol. I ate tons of sinus pain meds regurally (like 4 to 8 times a month). Now I'm pain free. Not once since the incident it hurt. I can finally get completely shitfaced again. Yay!  It smells like everything else, nothing. Like when driving down the road and there's a skunk near by, my boyfriend will roll up the windows, pull his shirt over his nose, and complain about the smell but I don't even notice it because I can't smell. I just sit there like nothings wrong. With milk I always end up drinking it before it expires. Food I always only eat it fresh, never reheated(personal preference, I think the taste weakens when chilled then reheated). Smell does have a bit to do with taste I've heard. I can't really tell you if it does with me because I was born this way so I don't know any different. I will say I have to use a lot more salt than most people before I can taste it on food. I'm always getting yelled at at family things by my mom for it. | ||
