Same guy as above, pointing out that saying why they do it doesn't really justify it, regardless.

I know neither of you will see this anons but I'm going to reply anyway.
Getting an FJ account - Free. Being a citizen of admin's grorious nation of republic of FJ - Priceless. Just sayin
I'm saying that the "please subscribe" messages are more than completely justified because as a result of the creator doing that you're more likely to sub to content you actually want to watch.
You might not see what problem I'm getting at but in the world of YouTube the difference between a) stumbling upon a video and then just clicking onto another video at the end and b) stumbling upon a video and then subbing to the creator - is HUGE.
For the viewer, it could be they didn't like the video, they dont sub, what evs. But where viewers actually like content and want to see more by the creator, in many cases they simply forget and click off to something else. If you personally never forget to sub to creators you enjoy, good for you, but thats just not the case for thousands of others. For the creator, this is also the difference between one view and many potential viewings over all future content, which makes all the difference in the YouTube game.
And this matters because YouTube is such a completely chaotic ocean of content that is constantly fucktupling in size and getting loads of shit added to it. To find that user's content again can be really hard because you can't just look at the YouTube programme times in the back of the newspaper and find that content again. Channel names and video titles can be hard to remember - how many times have you tried to find a video you once saw but been unable to find it? This is why subbing as a link between user and creator is really important.
As for saying that this makes creators sound 'stupid and greedy' - well sure some can find it that way, it's really just a matter of opinion. For me, the way some do it sounds beggy and desperate but others do it with comedy and flair (PBS Idea Channel), its about how you ask.

Except for that some of the bigger youtubers still don't say this and end up with a million subscribers because their so good. Like VideoGameDunkey, he understands that I have the option to. Regardless, it's like getting told by a star to leave a good review, at an end of a movie. Do you know how stupid and greedy that makes you appear? Pewdiepie has the most subscribers anyway, so him saying it only makes it even worse, not better.
