he runs away with a broken collerbone? he doesnt even swear or get pissed off and start shooting off bullets?
#25 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
Trying to fire a gun with a broken collarbone or fucked up shoulder is nearly impossible. Secondly, if somebody hulked out and threw a desk at a guy with a gun without batting an eye, do you really think he'd try to fuck with that classroom?
User avatar #26 - MrDrProfessor (10/04/2011) [-]
.....what if hes holding the gun with his other arm...
#27 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
If he had his gun drawn, he would probably be standing with his rear leg back and at his to make himself a smaller target. As such, the first thing you'd hit is the arm with which he's holding his gun. Even if not, you'd break both sides of his collarbone.
User avatar #28 - MrDrProfessor (10/04/2011) [-]
i doubt he would be standing sideways
#29 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
When firing a sidearm, the best stance is to have you're weight on you're back foot, with you're body turned sideways to make you'reself a smaller target. Use both hands to prevent somebody from knocking the gun out of you're hand.

a smaller target from what...if a guy is shooting up a school im pretty damn sure nobody else there has a gun to defend themselves
#31 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
Perhaps, but if he has any shooting experience that's just something you would do naturally. Even if the person doesn't have a gun, it makes you a smaller target for someone to hit.
User avatar #32 - MrDrProfessor (10/04/2011) [-]
true but anybody who is shooting up a school has probably never shot a gun before. they figure they are simple to use and easy to kill many people considering the people who shoot up schools are mostly very depressed or physcos
#33 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
That depends entirely on the shooter. The Columbine shooters had practiced for six months before doing what they did, and one of the earliest school shootings, in 1954, was done by a highly skilled rifleman. Those are only two examples, but depending on how well-planned or determined they are it is likely they learned to shoot at least a little bit before hand.

i was thinking more of like the virginia tech shooting
#36 - iamphoenix (10/04/2011) [-]
That was a very special case. He killed 25 people and wounded 32 others, so he might have known very well what he was doing. However, he did the shooting in a residence hall and a few classrooms, so he had not only the element of surprise but a small area in which to utilize it.
