There was an episode of the 70's show MASH where Henry Blake got sent home from the war. The whole camp was so excited for him, cause war sucks. They all celebrate for the duration of the episode and he finally flies home. Then at the very end of the episode, the company Clerk named Radar, comes into the surgery area during an operation and lets everyone know this man died off screen after his plane was shot down over the sea of Japan. The clip I found isn't the best, but it can help show you what happened.
I think it was sad, though not the saddest part of the show. That award for me goes to the Series Finally.

At the time it was heartstopping. My mum used to talk about how the whole world stopped for MASH. When he got to go home, the whole world was cheering with the camp. When he died it was for all intents and purposes a national day of mourning.

These days perhaps the impact has been lessened. I mean, important characters die all the time, the cultural relevance of MASH is much reduced, but I can tell you... honestly, I do not envy Colonel Potter; Having to replace Blake could not have been easy.

I don't know why I always forget about the retro library on Wii U, but you're right about that. It is a good system, and having a PC/Wii U combo is awesome, I'm just making the point that it isn't for everyone.

PSN has sales all the time as well, not as large as steam, but the console itself is much cheaper than a high end PC. Also, the Wii U has some good games, but a "massive" library is a massive stretch. Personally, I keep my Wii U for Smash, Mario Kart, and Mario Maker. Bayonetta and the other praised games don't interest me.

It's all based on opinion. There is no objectively superior gaming experience, because everyone wants something different.
