The plot revoles around her ability being the base for all mutations, despite her always stated inability to copy or use the abilities of mutants. The one who would make much more sense for this would be Rogue.  Its not the basis for mutations, its her ability to mimic that they have used as a base for the sentinels ability to copy powers. #22 -
