He was sort of obsessed with it, and obsessions usually don't end too well.
One of his puppies are the same way, they can't relax as long as there's a toy nearby, so they have to be taken away sometimes.

a calf will need about 13 qrts of milk max a day (about 3.5 gallons or so)
www.dairymoos.com/how-much-milk-do-cows-give/
the average cow produces about 8 gallons of milk a day (about 32 qrts)

i'll stalk you till you realize the milk business is inoffensive
i don't give a shit about the meat business and i know it's cruel as fuck tho so i won't defend it

Isn't it waste? It's not like milk or leather.
#75 - ilikepatatas (12/02/2016) [-]
milk cruelty would work on the same bases as poop cruelty , both are resources that benefit the cow when they're extracted
but somehow guarantees abuse because those cows are in a farm and therefore it's inhumane

But the milk is for calves. Shit is for no one.
Also, their feces help with plant production. Lowers price of vegetable which they like.

calves are fed too
and by separating the babies from the mothers at birth it prevents depression from both parties

just so you know, a sad cow produces way less milk than a healthy cow, so it's kind of required for milk-producing cows to be happy
User avatar
#78 - strobler (12/02/2016) [-]
Wait. how does separation reduce depression?
#79 - ilikepatatas (12/02/2016) [-]
it prevents it
if you separate the calf from the mother weeks or days after birth she gets too attached to it and gets depressed
if you do it right after the calf is born the mother feels nothing and it still triggers milk production

to make most money off of them both must be healthy and happy through the rest of their lives (unless they're gonna be sold to slaughterhouses ,in that case only healthy)
so if you doubt human compassion enough like to believe all animals in farms will be treated with cruelty
at least don't doubt in human greed/need for money, which also plays a part in their happiness and health
User avatar
#80 - strobler (12/02/2016) [-]
Pretty sure I doubt human compassion after seeing factory farming.
#81 - ilikepatatas (12/02/2016) [-]
well then as i said, don't doubt human greed
#49 - sacrilegious (12/02/2016) [-]
I don't think they care. The animal has given it up, most vegans object to taking something from an animal.
#43 - ilikepatatas (12/02/2016) [-]
im not a vegan but im guessing it depends

a considerable ammount of these people are peta-level freaks
and consider that stuff like mere contact with animals is/guarantees abuse
ie: "these animal poops come from a farm but it's cruelty because animals are probably mistreated there"

some others simply don't care as long as it doesn't directly harm any animal
