ive taken the time to study esperanto, and it has a lot of similarities with arabic in that the language is composed of root words with affixes.
as long as you know your affixes and a fair amount of root words, you could make up a word for something that makes total sense, even though there may be an actual word for that thing.
agglutinative languages are very creative and easy to learn, but using them makes my head hurt.

Another reason this system is cool is that novices can understand the gist of words they haven't seen before because words with related meanings sound the same, because they have the same root. Book: Kitab, writer: katib, library: maktib, written: maktoob. Hit: daraba, person that was hit: madroob, training: tadreeb.

It was a joke, but I really do love it. I'm no language expert, but here are some reasons I like it. The way words are "made" is very consistent and interesting, and the system is very nice because you can make up your own words that have meaning or understand the meanings of words that you've never seen before in your life. Every word is made up of two parts: The "root", which is a set of three letters, and a "pattern", which is all the rest of the letters. The root holds the essence of the meaning, and the pattern holds the "direction" in a sense. For example, with the above word, "M L K" is the root of the second word. It in essence means "control" or "rule". So King comes from that root, as does kingdom, angel, sovereignty, et cetera. I had never seen that word before, but the pattern is "*u**ee", the asteriks being substituted with the three root letters. The pattern is to make an adjective describing something by relating it to the root. Another example of a word using it is "Juldee" with the root "J L D" meaning "skin" or "cover", and the word itself means "with a cover" or "leather" depending on what you're describing with it. (It's hard to directly translate Arabic, every word holds a lot of meaning.) In the end, looking at this word that means basically "similar to a king" or "having to do with control and leadership", modifying the word for blood, and looking at the context, I came up with "royal blood".

The Chinese/Japanese system of drawing Kanjis is similarly interesting and structured, but I prefer this one ever so slightly because it's not just the writing system, but the language as a whole.

I'm sure there are people that can describe the whole thing a lot better than I can, but I love Arabic because although its a very old language, it has extremely high language density and ease of understanding if you know the language well. It's a very efficient way to communicate very deep and rich ideas, literature and poems written in it are very beautiful.
