It makes you wonder though, what makes them so violent? they're not completely savage, evidently.
Then there's the question of if it would even be better to make contact with them and show them at least basic things such as how to do exactly that, make a fire. Or if it's better to let their little space remain undisturbed to observe how they would grow.
They may have heard stories of what settlers have done to other lands, and these stories pass down. It could be fear of the outsiders (remind you of any particular group) or some sort of supremacy thing (remind you of any particular group)
Perhaps but if they're smart enough to fear, they should know that if outsiders were really a threat, killing a few innocent, non threatening/aggressive people, is a good way to get themselves wiped off the map if we felt like it. They kill all outsiders, when logically it would be smart to see what they want or what they have to offer and such.
Anyways, I would leave them alone. Unless the resources to save humanity is on that island for whatever reason, there is not much to gain from forcing them into modern civilization. Like another poster said, they're good for anthropological study.
, I agree that forcing them to change would be just plain bad, but to give them the choice to do so, to see how fast they could "evolve", I just personally think that would be much more interesting to see.
Scientist use North Sentinel island as a way to peer back in time to see how we were like back then and they have all agreed to not set foot on the island for that purpose
Yeah I get that, that's one way of doing that, observing to see our past.
But the other way is also very interesting. Modern humans are so incredibly fucking advanced we might as well be aliens to them. Wouldn't it be more interesting to document the rate of their growth when guided by an infinitely more advanced people, than to just watch them for the sake of letting nature take its course and etc
- Actually not, its very real.
