No that picture isn't of me or a boyfriend. But I would LOVE to have all sorts of tattoos like that! Once I figure out what I want.

I'm also kinda sorta obsessed with country music. Not trying to be one of those girls, but seriously, some songs describe some awesome stories.

>>#134,

Its always the same answer with you people.

"You didn't have a hard time? You must not have experienced very much hardship"

Life is hard, but bitching about it doesn't make it easier. Stop being a whiney cunt.

Have you been unemployed after being settled into one field for 8 years or not?
User avatar #152 - subaqueousreach (06/01/2015) [-]
> Since 2009 I've worked 6 different jobs

Let's do simple math now kids.

2015 - 2009 = 6.

Now let's add in that I was 2 in 1992, which means I was out of highschool in 2008. I went several months without work due to several circumstances before landing a job towards the end of the year and into 2009.

Putting together all those facts I've already mentioned before, one can assume that no, I have not lost a job after 8 years of a single employment. But good job paying attention.

and yes, I'm being a dick on purpose at this point. You people are absolutely retarded.
#208 - FiddySpense (06/01/2015) [-]
Looks like you have no idea what it's like to be shoved out of your specialized field. It's a real struggle you wouldn't understand until it happens.

My father worked as a charge hand in a limber mill for 25 years before the mill shut down and he was laid off, he adjusted just fine and that was the same year my mom abandoned our family.

Like I said, life is hard, but bitching about it doesn't make it any easier. Just solve the fucking problem.
#225 - FiddySpense (06/02/2015) [-]
Quick recoveries are possible. You're not wrong, but you have to admit that everybody's luck is different.
User avatar #226 - subaqueousreach (06/02/2015) [-]
Luck had very little to do with it. Instead of moaping and complaining, my dad saw that there was a problem. Because he got laid off shortly after my mom left, he couldn't afford to pay off the credit card debt she was kind enough to leave for us. That forced us into BC housing and I stood in food bank line ups with my brothers to make sure we had food every week while my dad jumped from shit job to shit job, doing anything he could to make money.

After 8 months he was able to get us out of debt and out of poverty and we were able to move to a real house and have a normal life again.

My family rarely attributes luck to our success. We work hard and we do what we need to in order to meet life's challenges, so that when the worst happens as it always does, we're not caught unaware.
#227 - FiddySpense (06/02/2015) [-]
Drive and tolerance are in a person's hands. Opportunity presenting itself at all is a luck factor.

I get your struggle. Perseverance is key in hard times. But everyone's traits are different (also luck). Some people undesirably need a minute to vent.

Yeah we're not racism to that degree that anything anyone does will get someone screaming "RACISM!", unless they were obviously joking of course.

It's a democracy where peeps vote but we're still a part of the commonwealth so the person we elect is called a Prime Minister instead of President. Things are fine I suppose, like all politicians, they make promises, they break promises, c'est la vie.

Well a few years ago, the early 2000s, there was a quite a few "incidents" with the Muslims Quite a few, maybe 4 or 5? cases of white school girls being gang raped by Muslims which lead to an outrage and the Cronulla riots. Things calmed down a bit but with the recent ISIS incidents Including one where a Muslim man held a coffee shop hostage which lead to I think 3 deaths including the gunman and some Muslim people trying to implement Shariah Law in Australia It's like their biblical law or something, has some pretty bad stuff in there like genital mutilation n stuff. people are just getting more and more fed up with em.

That being said I wouldn't call em racist since they don't hate them just because they're muslim, after all, my uni is chock full of muslims and there's been no issues whatsoever, it's probably just anger towards a specific group of them for doing this kinda stuff.

Hmm racism is a pretty small issue in Australia although there is one flaring up recently.
There's some animosity between the community and muslims. Muslims wanted to implement Shariah law or something and the community was very against it.

That's about it really, the only racism I've noticed in Australia has mainly been directed at Muslims and that's usually only after some major Muslim related incidents, everyone else regardless of race is pretty much treated nicely. And despite me saying the racism thing against muslims, you wouldn't see anyone have a problem with them in regular circumstances.

No real issues with cops either though everyone is kinda pissed with our current government, everyone thinks the Prime minister is a dumbass but I guess that's what every thinks of every leader so whatevs.
User avatar #185206 - solareyes (05/24/2015) [-]
Racism is considerably huge in America. It's getting on my nerves cuz people ONLY look at racism of the white man against the black man. It's so stupid and ignorant.

What kind of government is Australia like? Why is there a Muslim problem? Is it just that they want their religious rules to be the law...? Or recent mass immigration?

Australia is a very laid back country, in my personal opinion it's a nice place to live but not that great of a place to visit since there's not much going on. You got a lot of fancy stuff in Sydney, best city to live in at Melbourne, great beaches at Queensland and basically desert everywhere else.

People are friendlier that's for sure but I still think it's kinda like an American wannabe ya know?
User avatar #185201 - solareyes (05/24/2015) [-]
Well considering the mess America is getting itself into, American wannabe is cool with me. I mean a wannabe as in the same original values America was founded on, not trying to become what it is now
