To put it simply here's how it is... LoL is easier more and more user friendly.
DotA has a somewhat steep learning curve if you've never played it before but pretty fun once you get the hang of it.
And HoN is basically the same as DotA except it has a bunch of different/original heroes ( around 60 ) aside from around 40 ports of DotA heroes. And it's somewhat more fast-paced than DotA.

If you're a really good LoL player and feel like it doesnt challenge you, I suggest switching to one of the other alternatives, but be prepared for plenty of flame and trash-talking when you start playing.

For more detailed explanations and stuff, Google is your friend.

Thanks man, LoL get's hard enough as it is for me at times...I usually do Adc as jayce, Since all the adc I currently own I kinda suck as...

I tried switching to LoL after I got bored with HoN and found out my net speed was too slow to support DotA, but I honestly couldn't take it! Waay too slow and simplistic.... I don't have anything against people who do play it but I never got the appeal..

...League being slow a simplistic... You must be scary good at this kind of thing...I'm worse than i thought...

I've just been playing for a long time... I'm actually not that good, above average but not good. In games like DotA and HoN I think game sense matters a lot and that's the only thing that I really have. I also didn't want to switch to LoL since the encourage you to use real money... HoN and DotA are completely free now! Except for avatars/skins of course

i have read this entire post, downloaded stream and tried to get Dota2 however it requires $20 could you show me where i can get Dota or Dota2 for free

You'll need a beta key...ask around or google most people have tons right now. If that doesnt work then I guess they changed their policy. It was free before.

League only encourages money for skins and champions but, still you can play free, it might not be a FULL experience without cash but hey, friends can buy stuff for you.

Yeah I know it's not the Skins thing that bothers me, It's the charging for champions that I always find irritating. It used to be the same in HoN too but thank god they changed that!
