A disappointing anime that aired last season

You were disappointed in it? I figured Key did exactly what they do best with it. Got emotionally rekt, MC went through some hella harsh shit to reach the happy ending. Its pretty much what Key does.

The went way past depression and got overbearing, I would be OK with that if the plot twists came out of nowhere. I cant say much at all without spoilers, but it was just stupid. And the ending, Damn, it was OK but it could have been an entire second season, instead we get an episode more compressed then a fat chick in a girdle.

That is true. But Key ALWAYS has depressing shit. Their Visual Novels are always rated with the highest degree of crying games. But yeah, a whole second season based on the last episode would have been super fun. But I imagine watching MC deteriorate in real time would be once again really depressing.

I am ok with depression, It got a little out of hand but otherwise they handled it well. It's the whole, nullifying the past to save his sister bit that pissed me off. She could stay dead, We were OK with that. But instead they wrote her back in. And that's just the start of the Time Travel BS.

Personally that was the part that got me the most. Im too attached to most loli/ imouto characters, and the part that got me the most was that I didn't see it coming. The Time Travel stuff is also classic Key tho. Every game of theirs i've played so far has introduced some supernatural power.

See now I usually dont give a shit about loli characters but I really liked his sister and was shocked when they killed her off (for a while). I also didn't mind the whole time travel aspect, I thought it was pretty neat and went places I didn't expect it to. Besides the obvious gripes about the last episode, I thought Charlotte was a very underrated anime. It was so refreshing to see an MC have ACTUAL CHARACTER PROGRESSION. Though it did fall into a few forgivable anime tropes, the interesting characters, fantastic animation, and great humor really kept me engaged throughout. Thus concludes my Charlotte review that nobody asked for.

Key has some insanely good character development, as soon as I heard they made an anime I had to watch it, and it fit their style really well. The depressed MC part was a really interesting take on things. It feels a bit annoying when other anime go, oh family died, but I have friends, thus everything is okay. It was nice seeing someone go down the dark as shit path of depression for once. And a side effect of that path made me really support the main girl. I hated her at first until that part of the anime. That dedication man.
