for all the dumb asses here, PBS is a PUBLICLY funded channel, it does get a yearly stipend now under Obama, but it raises its own money on a monthly basis with telethons etc. Sesame street is also publicly funded in its own right, so even if PBS got shut down due to lack of government funds, sesame street would still continue on without a hitch. the amount of money PBS gets from the government is around 450-Million dollars a year, which is about 12% of its overall budget per year. By trimming some fat from our spending, we would be able to put that 450 Million towards our Trillion dollar deficite, meaning that in 2 years, by just cutting a measly 12% from the funding for PBS, we could get almost 1 Billion dollars, and put that into paying off our national debt. Romney is not only going to cut fat from PBS mind you, he is going to be making cuts like that across the board, but it will not effect anything honestly.

But if you fools would rather Fail as a nation, and slowly become so indebted to China etc that we would end up BECOMING part of China, than by all means, keep the 12% funding for PBS, even though cutting it's funding wont effect any of the programming......
