well i would imagine the reason you think most people who do it are weak minded individuals is because it is stereo-typically referred to as "the poor drug" and you have never actually tried it for yourself. the truth is that the majority of TRUE pot smokers are middle-class citizens, and about 36% of the adult population in USA use cannabis (weed) atleast once a week.
they do have a pill form btw, when i first got my medical card they gave me drops. two would knock me out so now i just vaporize :3 (vaporizing pot is like inhaling steam)
and i was once a stupid teenager, too, who just smoked it to be cool, and because it was also very fun. now i use it for my insomnia and anxiety. it is seriously the best medicine i have ever taken :]

it may be able to help teenagers who are depressed, though. if they're smart about it. that only happens like 1 out of 10 times, unfortunately. since the media makes pot seems like a DANGEROUS AND EXCITING PARTY DRUG, teens treat it as such and make stupid decisions that they would have made while sober, thinking its the cannabis making them that way.

well i agree with you on the media, never trust them. always do your research. but if teens are depressed they can take it in a pill form with a prescription. since it is not legal there are tons of different anti depressants

well it is medically legal :/ atleast in California, where i live. And i used to be depressed, for an entire decade actually. no prescribed medications worked so i just had to go through it. in fact, all the drugs did was make things worse. i kinda wish i knew what cannabis was when i was 6, haha

all of these cause many side effects that they STATE: Insomnia, weakness, loss of appetite, increase in suicidal thoughts and vomiting.
even though these pharmaceutical companies are completely legal and represented by the government, that does not mean in any way or form that these drugs are OKAY. just like i already stated, they can INCREASE the risk of suicidal thoughts and basically everything else the patient got the medicine for in the first place. would you recommend that to a friend or family member?
now i agree with part of what you said, that most of the human race has some sort of emotional disorder. which is why half of americans are already drugged up by western doctors, who immediately jump to the conclusion that the way to solve the problems the person is facing is to make the person numb.
marijuana is basically just another drug that others should be using for depression, except weed isnt man-made. god has created cannabis, therefore it is completely natural and you can trust what you are putting in your system is not tampered with (unless someone has laced it, of course). another reason why it should be legalized, so no one accidentally goes on a mushroom trip they are not ready for.
the fact remains that almost every other legal drug can be more harmful than everything you have just stated. people who abuse marijuana basically get too relaxed and immotivated - just like you said. now is that really so bad? if someone wants to have a life like that, let them. they arent hurting anyone.
