I agree with helping treat it completely. But my thing is that if someone is nobody is searching anyones effects or person. If someone genuinely needs help and is clean of drugs what do they have to hide? what right is being infringed upon? in what way are they being harmed? if it comes back clean than boom, great for them, give them the benefits that they need. But you even said yourself it would be great even for those that ARE found to be on drugs can be identified and possibly helped in some other way.

See it wouldn't be a problem, if it weren't for the US constitution. The highest body of law that dictates what the state is NOT allowed to do to you, and governs how it operates. It would be almost the same if they passed a law that stated if you had a spare bedroom that during times of civil unrest (such as during the baltimore riots) you would be required to give a place to sleep to police who were flown in for riot control. A great idea on paper, but a flagrant infraction upon the third amendment in the bill of rights.

They cant be changed for a reason, and that reason is it keeps the fed in check and out of our personal lives.

Some people are tested twice. I work and have to receive benefits to make ends meet mainly because of medical bills cutting into my income. I work 40 hours + and still have to get some assistance. This really sucks for me. Also where I work, I am placed under heavy scrutiny. If I make any reference towards drugs, I get kicked off the job and tested which can cause me to lose days of income, plus the money for the test which isn't given back.

I have never been (caught) using illegal drugs, my nose is clean and my record is just as clean, the only thing I use is medicinal Marijuana, and that's for pain.

#39 - ihatecarltonbanks (06/02/2015) [-]
It wouldn't be under any lock and key for the people who actually deserve it. If anybody is taking and spending money on drugs while also receiving wellfare they should not be allowed to continue receiving wellfare. I agree that it is an amazing program but drug testing would weed out a lot of those "bad apples" while doing absolutely no harm to those who really need the program. what the problem with that? Nobody would be "locked out" except those that would abuse it.
#57 - phoenixactual (06/03/2015) [-]
The cost of drug testing said recipients consistently exceeds the cost of just shutting the fuck up and letting the people get welfare. You forget they aren't just piss testing the ones who do drugs, they're doing it to literally everybody else, too. And testing is expensive. The government can barely afford to piss test it's own employees, you expect them to be able to do it for that many people?
User avatar
#41 - sleepehz (06/02/2015) [-]
The problem is a thing called the bill of rights, specifically the fourth amendment. Needing government help is not probable cause to search your person or effects and therefor can not be carried out by the federal govt. Your workplace is able to carry out the drug testing because they are private companies. It sucks that you cant test for these programs because if we could we could get rehab treatment for people suffering from addiction.

I say suffering from addiction because if you treat addiction as a sickness and not a crime it tends to help in quite a few ways. Would you rather have someone in jail for possession of meth, or in rehab being cured and rehabilitated?

Except in states where it was implemented, they found so few drug users receiving aid that the program lost money.
User avatar
#43 - sleepehz (06/02/2015) [-]
Exactly right. Besides the #1 recipient of govt aid is children. So to blanket test is to constantly test children of poor families, which if you know low income households tends to be quite a few per case.

for me it was afghanistan. a 110 morter kingdom come-ed a house like 20 feet from me. i took part of that house to the face. knocked me off my feet and bent my knees the wrong way. oh and i was also shot a few times and i still have shrapnel in my body.
so with all the scar tissue its hard for me to sweat out my heat. hense the pool after the workout.
also i have like 8oz of lead in my body and like 8 lbs of titanium and steel and randomness. so i get what thats like.

Honestly dont feel too bad about the whole non blood donating thing. Most of it gets disposed of, and its all sold all over the place. people's donations of blood generate a LOT of profit for the american red cross. so if anything explain that they are pretty much blood farms for a charitable organization that profits a lot more than people realize, kind of like goodwill.

That can be you opinion, and i can see where you may have thought it was. I guess i did not take the time to properly convey my points. I have been doing dead lifts and trying a new supplement line. my mongoloidian nature too hold, i apologize for this.

I have my prejudices against certain types of fitness and my main one is crossfit. I have seen several people get hurt because of it. Most notorious of that is a friend of mine who threw his back out extremely hard and now if he wants to be comfortable he has to wear a back brace around. I dont like seeing injuries like that.

Sure regular liftin has it's own issues, like the newbies who go right into a gym rat's routine and never take the time to develop proper form and stabilizing muscles. this usually leads to bad shoulders, knees, or other joint issues. But with crossfit they just throw form out of the window along with safety. Idolizing or celebrating behaviors like this can be just as dangerous as reading 50 shades of grey and thinking that is an accurate portrayal of the BDSM lifestyle.

I did some research on her, this is actually her recorded official max. my max on snatch is somewhere in the neighborhood of 145, but that is with proper form consisting of 1. from ground 2. proper hop 3. straight back and 4. proper breathing as not to explode my rectum.

In being "a snide lil bitch" like this i know at least 60 people saw my comment, and it angered them to the point where they went out of their way to down vote my content and i know that made an impact. Maybe they will think on it if they choose to start a physical fitness routine, and maybe it could stop them from hurting themselves. Or they wont and will have a hernia to address, which is hilarious

TLDR; i enjoy the warm musty feeling of warm man blasts over my chest.
