| The Universe could, in theory, be compressed down to the size of a singularity in space-time with infinite mass yet nearly infinitely small in size, as it once was. | ||

| Theatre or theater? Centre or center? Sabre or saber? Defence or defense? Colour, Honour, Grey, Centre, Sabre, Theatre & Theater, Defense, Realise, Axe, Airplaine, learnt, spelt, moustache, pajamas, I've seen it spelled defence, though most people seem to spell it defense Theatre/theater is different, theatre is an art and theater is a place. Actually no, they have the same meaning, they really are just different spellings. I've seen both used in both contexts. Usually I think of theatre as the art and theater as the place, though, I agree. #200 -
rockstarownage (01/10/2013) [-] oh my god. how have i never noticed the different spellings of these words. #206 -
yutakenusername (01/10/2013) [-] recognise/recognize (hell, all "z"/"s" changes) axe/ax aeroplane/airplane (not sure if all British people spell it that way, though the ones I know do say it that way. Almost 100% confident they all do) learnt/learned spelt/spelled (etc.) moustache/mustache pyjamas/pajamas I could go on forever. And I have probably written way too much. I just realized how much I switch this words around because I forgot the other spelling. I've never heard that before, man, and I don't believe it to be true. I know for a fact that "axe" is originally the British form of the word "ax". You can look it you so choose. "Axe" shows up a lot in American literature and in every day life to replace "ax", but it was originally the British spelling. #210 -
rockstarownage (01/10/2013) [-] ok i use the ones on the right , except for axe however the ones in the comment above mine, i actually use both of them but never realized it A lot of words that end in "er" in the US are "re" in the UK. Perhaps you use more that you never knew. Theatre Centre Saber, actually. I dont know why. Defence My english teachers would get so pissed. Grey, colors, theatre, center, saber, defense, realize, recognize, axe, airplane, learned, spelled, moustache, pajamas I kinda muddle everything... I don't particularly spell things more American or British ^^; especially since I'm born and raised in the U.S. | ||
