Let me tell you what I find wrong with the elderly care system. My grandmother slipped into severe Alzheimer's and dementia in the final months of her life and she was in a Nursing home and then transferred to a memory care wing. We were paying vast amounts of money for care as was the state and her county and the home was very accommodating to her, allowing us to keep her in a 'double' room for only a little more than the price of her alone being there. The staff were usually helpful and we knew that they cared for her (when she died they were also very visibly moved) and when visiting I witnessed first hand the difficulty it is to take care of elderly alone but add in ones who can't walk or hear or remember makes it that much more difficult. It takes a saint with infinite patients to take care of those people. Yet for how much we pay the homes can't 1. Pay enough people to properly take care of them (daily showers, constant supervision to those who need it) and 2. Those who do take care of our elderly (in this case even you) aren't compensated properly for what we pay. It's horrible in my opinion.

If old people showered every day, it would be very bad for their skin, it would dry it out. It's the same with younger people as well, they shower too often. Every other day is more than enough. And old people don't need to shower as often as younger people.

Giving up cereal is very plausible when you have dinosaur eggs hatching in your oatmeal.

Dinosaur Eggs Oatmeal from Quaker.
They have these little sugar eggs in the oatmeal that melt in hot water and reveal tiny colorful dinosaurs. They're not as common as they once were but I know they're still around on the internet and in various grocery stores.
