Ignoring the fact that you still haven't posted any sort of link to what the hell I'm asking for, you're still just blatently saying it as though I'm meant to believe it at face value, what you've said is hilariously untrue and ignorant.

The whole religion of Muslim isn't "ideologically toxic", the extremists are the ones with ideologically toxic mindsets. It's like saying that just because the WBC is an organization which exists, we need to discriminate against Catholics to.

What you're proposing is the same fucked up logic feminists use to blame any and every man for rape, because "better 9 innocent men go to prison if 1 rapist is put away!" And no, that isn't a straw man, nor is it a false equivalence, that's literally what the logic is. Is that not why you're proposing this mass discrimination against religion?

And the reason its counterproductive is because religious preference is separate from nationality. You can be white, and Muslim. All you have to do, as an Isis member, as they're legitimately doing, is pretend, or claim to be another religion. It's completely unviable, you can't discriminate against a religion, for one because it goes against the key principle of why this country exists, and two because you can't select for a religion on self report, not if they want to enter the country.

The assholes trying to sneak in will just lie, and the ones who would argue are the ones who you would presume to be the assholes, despite them simply being pissed off at the discrimination.

What about Jenner has come out that's newsworthy since then? The media silence on the topic could very well be due to the absolute lack of news.

Not so much insecurity as conflict between perception and identification. One considers themselves one way yet the way others and often themselves perceive them doesn't match. That conflict causes self doubt and yes insecurity. But it isn't the insecurity isn't what they feed into.

the media's sudden silence on jenner, since we've lumped LGBT together so much, saying something against gays or any of them gets you entire silence on a speaking forum or at the very least one kept that contained and not likely to grow, only wilt. Tell me how hard the media hyped about it, but as soon as he said one thing about gays being bad, sudden silence.

the entire ordeal stems from a massive insecurity on their identity that they need solidified because what are you if you can't identify yourself?

You seem to have mistaken college clubs and tumblr comment sections as the world at large. Outside of those places bigotry against transwexuals is actually fairly commonplace.

Overeating chocolate and sweets leads to diabetes and obesity, which kills you. Abuse of gambling leads to poverty and debt, which kills you.
#165 - sircool (10 hours ago) [-]
it doesn't matter what you deem "the world at large" it matters what is done to anyone who ever gets air-time saying shit against them. they're torn down and destroyed.

and acting on insecurity confirms that insecurity and allows it to grow, until it envelopes their mind leading them to kill themselves....which kills you.

there is hope though. Considering that the 'opening' mission we've seen so far from E3 ISN'T the first in the game, and they say that they saved the world with MI6 before hand, that means some one ****** up big time. And considering it's many mentionings before hand, it's safe to say that it was fully built during the stage invasion. And we seen so many scenes where they're in some sort've high tech base, who's to say that it isn't the daedalus? I mean, what better to have for a base for the human resistance than a flying mobile carrier.

Maybe there is some hope. But I doubt the Daedalus will be obtained as amazingly as it was in SR3. I mean you literally got to blow the **** out of the thing. Also, I find it funny how Cyrus is a boss who doesn't involve a QTE fight, but his battle still sucks anyways.

I have a gut feeling that the bastards are going to deduct effort on the car customization details since you can practically fly/run/teleport anywhere. I mean come on, maybe I want to drive around in style rather than rule all over Steelport. I wish they also added air vehicle customization to the last games, a golden/purple Army jet speaks a thousand words of kick-assery.
User avatar #1826 to #1825 - sircool (07/19/2013) [-]
they'll most likely keep all the features of the last, and add more. At least tiers are back with side missions/activities.

Yeah I saw that, what a relief.
Now they need to ******* the whole "Non-replayable missions" ordeal.
You know how many times I wanted to play the mission where you steal the ******* Penthouse HQ? Uncountable times.
On a related note, I thought it was lazy to not make the Penthouse HQ temporarily inaccessible or massively destroyed after STAG tried to kill you.

that, and that all the other ones looked the same inside. I mean, the outside when you upgrade looks better and better, but inside is boring. and from seeing how much people complained and how much they've changed/added some things i think they actually listened.
User avatar #1829 to #1828 - extremistavenger (07/19/2013) [-]
Good point. SR3's building upgrades were **** in comparison to SR2's upgrades, at the inside looked different each time you bought into that. I guess we'll see how many downgraded features from SR3 are going to get fixed (and I really hope most of them are fixed).
#1830 to #1829 - sircool (07/19/2013) [-]
well, let's look at what has happened during the franchise. SR1 people admire the freedom, the brutality, though wish it was a bit more comedic. SR2, people love how serious it can be, then jump into crazyness. -No one complained about the more sillyness change- so they kept going with it, only too hardcore.

For me, it's not just the craziness that's degraded the series. It's how they've now pushed the craziness into the main plot rather than keeping it in the gameplay and features. However, Saint's Row 3 lowered my expectations when they failed at the simple task:
-Take everything perfect from SR2, improve it, and then add our own features.
What they did:
-Take everything perfect from SR2, remove/change it for the worst, and then add our own features.

you say the tower isn't challenging, but then you fall off and have to start the climb all over again. I hate/love climbing challenges like that in games. One, it usually has a great view, the downfall is my massive fear of heights.
User avatar #1845 to #1842 - extremistavenger (07/19/2013) [-]
Falling off isn't a challenge though, you can't even take fall damage anyways.
As far as I can tell, flight is pretty fluid and simple to control, so they should AT LEAST add RPG soldiers on the towers which will knock the player's ass into the air.

I know that fear of heights bro.

User avatar #1844 to #1839 - sircool (07/19/2013) [-]
the dubstep gun does do damage though, seeing as that one car exploded and that one person died (?) in the slow-mo thing. and it seems to be great at crowd control, which in all the saint's row has been a problem at higher wanted levels. and we've just seen the first few parts of the game, not even getting the crew together or what ******* what might happen.
User avatar #1847 to #1844 - extremistavenger (07/19/2013) [-]
I saw the car explode, but that literally only happened after the gun ran down to a certain percent. Which makes the DubGun a situational weapon, you'll need a low-armored vehicle to explode in order to kill anybody, but if that's the case, why not just throw the car at other people? Maybe there's a damage upgrade, but this is all speculation.
You know what else is great for ground control? Rocket launchers.
However, I suppose if you're getting raped by a tank, the DubGun could disable it momentarily implying you're not being shot by ground troops.

they ARE going for a whole " 'MERICA **** YEAH" deal in part of is, so red wanted bar, blue health, and white outline for everything kinda makes sense. Or maybe it's cause the zenyak's favorite color is red and wanted health to stand out. I dunno. Little detail like that isn't going to piss me off though. What I was shocked at was how much detail in the movement they put into the Dubstep gun. I might use it just to watch it move now.

A blue health bar is just so, ugh. And that's the problem, the health didn't stand out at all until I took that second peek. But I guess it's better to have a health bar than to have non at all. Plus the moving pieces on the Dub-Wub-Rubber-Ducky gun are cool and all, but I'm all in for functionality, and so far it shows little to offer in destruction or actual combat other than stopping enemies in one place.

I have as well for pc, though i've had it for xbox. I also had 3 out of the four dlc's, and completed them all. Personally, it's better than 3 in every way minus bugs, but then 3 had the same amount of bugs. Road dlc is my story favorite, though Blues is my personal fav. I'd suggest playing each dlc in order of their release though (when starting them they suggest what level to try, start with lowest and go up) since there's a little easter egg in each that leads up to something in the last.

though mfw I think on where to start such a discussion, the entire game is great.

2a. I had heard rumors about it on /v/, but the question is, who is/isn't romance-able?

1. We've discussed the gun, this is here just to take space
2. Yes really, all of the achievements for SR4 have been leaked so even more stock-info for the game can be picked up
3. The problem with SR4 is that I think it will end up like SR3 on the scale of humor, since it seems like most of the comedic entertainment consists of dick jokes and tongue-in-cheek humor rather than something actually clever or well-written. Also, I think that over-the-top sort of things work better in a somewhat serious environment. For example, if they had a secret dubstep gun in Mass Effect 2, I'd be laughing my goddamn face off.
4. Despite all this, I'll only buy SR4 after it's price hits a wall. After all, I feel like I can't let a series go after beating all three games.

admittedly, it will be simplistic humor, but I look forward to the diversity in the jokes. I mean, saint's row 3 did have some subtly with Viola with the lines she says compared to her voice actor. And the rage filled yet calm feeling of angel, again compared to his voice actor.

let's also not forget the fact they do their own thing if not controlled, like in the sims games.

also, rockstar is good at over hyping features in their games. I mean, look at red dead redemption. There was a whole segment on how they animated the horses! a whole thing on hunting and harvesting, which isn't needed at all in the game as a whole. Cattle herding? Ha ha, like three missions. Bandit mask? Why use it? Never a real reason to. hell, even the honor system really had no impact at all. All these were hyped up in their gameplay trailers before hand.

Did you really just try to dismantle RDR by saying it had mild sections in it?
That's like saying Fallout has no good gun fights because you can use Speech options to avoid combat.
You need to work on your bashing bro, you've gotten sloppy. Your golden days were back when you couldn't stop arguing with every thing pony-related.

I said the features that they said would play a vital role in Read dead redemption made no real impact unless you physically went out and did them. They were useless and were only thought of if you wanted side things done. They were also tedious as **** . Are you telling me you would spend hours on end just walking around in the woods to hunt bear for a few hundred dollars when you can do a few missions and earn far more?

and fallout doesn't have good gun fights from how rigid the movement was. Gun specs were good, just movement was like a vertical cardboard box.

Too bad I don't care how disappointed you were with the features R* promised you. I guess you have preferences to which company screws you over and can get away with it. I mean after all, god forbid RDR's minor features are useless. But it's fine when Bioware jury-rigs a slightly less ******* ending to appease it's fans with low standards, plus a completely pointless and redundant "goodbye" non-free DLC.

when the fans themselves **** up the intended ending by leaking it, the writers quit, and a dead line is placed, it puts a stranglehold on some good content. The real bully **** you can do doesn't involve the main core of the game at all. and the 'goodbye' dlc you speak off was more of a thing for the long-term fans and not new ones. like how Javik was meant to be collector's pack only character, but then made into day one dlc.

point being, theres a difference between some one's poor decision that ***** over a good (in terms of quality) part of the game, and a bunch of promises that aren't really delivered in the game itself.

>Thinking the leak justified a ****** ending
No, just no.
Come back with a response when you remember all the promises that weren't delivered REGARDLESS of leak in the ending. I don't know about you, but when Casey Hudson promised us the greatest finale where all our choices mattered he should have gone through with the original ending and made good on his promise.
It's not what the developers wanted to do, no matter how bad they wanted to, it's the final product that the gamers with left with; meaning we got a half-hearted ending which was only bridged to the game's lore through Leviathan DLC and others, along with Day one DLC.

I don't think I can ever go back, but it will forever be a fond memories in my life, the "Mass Effect phase" I went through. Imagine giving your child a collection of Mass Effect games before you die...and then they'll dig you out of the ground and shove the games down your coffin if they hated the ending that much.

Also, a thread called Mass Effect General is creating a "Fantasy Mass Effect" team for the next game, it's almost amazing how in depth they're trying to go.

the intro mission alone shows off how much of a losing war it is. Earth's fleet gets wasted within like an hour. Everywhere you go, you hear either in conversation or in news casts of casualty reports being in the thousands to millions to even a billion at one part. hell, one thing you walk in on with liara is her drone helper telling her a city of 5 million nuked themselves to avoid turning into husks.

And mass effect 1, **** was barely getting ****** up, saren worked in the shadows after all until the end. Mass effect 2 again shadows, but more open and constant, taking whole colonies.

I don't give two ***** about the galaxy news, only my main characters.
Let's face it, Shepard and his/her crew are the only capable ************* of fighting the Reapers, and when they start to die off, THEN I'll get a gut feeling that the war is starting to teeter off to defeat. I didn't feel like losing, I felt like I was progressing to kick more and more ass. (At least until Anderson died), but by then the game was already over.

leviathan dlc was to expand lore, but wasn't needed. The core of the game was made around building alliances and what not and to build the deus ex machine. though i agree they failed with the ending (and i didn't only blame the leak there if you read it) the rest of the game they did accomplish. it felt constantly like a losing war. it was an end where all your choices had an impact at least, though sadly not as an epic as an impact as we hoped. bioware delivered in say....3/4? 1/2 of what they advertised? while Rock* only delivered on 1/4 or 1/3 of what they showed off as being core game play.

in full truth, i'd rather had kept the reapers a non understandable force of ultimate power like they were in ME1
