Thaaaaaaat is where I get lost as well, but essentially, the speed of light is constant even if you're moving towards or away from the source. The best explanation we have for that is Einstein's theory of relativity as I have described to the best of my understanding.

that makes sense. and it totally puts your city on the map and in the anals of history. we're still talking about it 40 years later. the more i hink about it the better it sounds. maybe i should get some folks together and break those records. for most ballons released and most people killed in ballon related deaths in a sinlge day.,
