I used to get bad acne and scars. I did accutane for 6 months. Cleaned me up and I don't break out anymore. Look into it.

As an addition: hormones added in foods like milk will cause acne. Rubbing a liberal amount of Neosporin/triple antibiotic ointment on your skin is absorbed into your pores to fight off infections, which acne more or less is.

I didn't eat any dairy for 5 months and it was so frustrating to find out it wasn't that which was causing my acne... I really missed cheese.

Yep! It's a sad mootherfucking world. Milk is my favorite drink and I was pissed for a while. If you were to get "organic" milk, then you could enjoy milk without the added hormones. The hormones they add is for the cow, which is transferred to it's milk.

I was getting nervous about drinking milk until this post. I'm lucky that we buy our milk fresh from a nearby farm. Downside is, it expires much too quickly.

Had zits/spots as a kid. Don't any more. Spots are caused by 2 things; the skins oil and/or bacteria.

tip 1) your bedding collects your skins oil overnight. Spots just on face? put a clean towel over your pillow each night or just change the case each day. Spots elsewhere? do this and change all the bedding daily. It's a ball-ache but it works in a couple of weeks.
Tip 2) As mentioned before, spots are caused by oil and/or bacteria so, when bathing/showering etc use dish soap. It removes shit loads of the skins oil and if you use an antibac-dish soap it kills the bacteria too. CAUTION! This drys out the skin faster than the desert sun so you'll need to use a moisturizer or use this method day-on-two-off style.
Tip 3) (for the older people) Shave as little as possible or even better,,, use a clipper to create that 2-day stubble look. Why? Shaving causes ingrowing hair. This is the perfect way for bacteria to grow and HACKING out a hair is FUCKING PAINFULL! Trust me, I look like a bear,,, women love that shit. It's all about looking like a REAL man ;),,,,gay men like the look too but how I know this is a story for another day.

Or you use this.
All you have to do is use more than the recommended dosage. Your face will be burnt and red if you use too much though, so heed warning. Only use this after a shower. The more you use, the more it burns off. But, like I said, too much will basically burn a layer of skin off; I know, I did that for at least a week. But now my skin is much cleaner than the average teen's.

Would you wash your face in the shower with the dish soap? Cuz I have an acne wash that I use.

Acne is caused by hormones. The oil and bacteria is a product of it. Cleaning your pillow case every day isn't going to help.

Women can just take birth control pills to get rid of their acne. Men have to take antibiotics and topical cream.

I had mild acne when I was in highschool. Spent two years on antibiotics (tetracycline). It gave me flawless skin.

I've been struggling with acne since i was 13 god damn years old. That's 6 fukken years now. I've tried EVERYTHING. I've taken birthcontrol (like 3 different types), I've used that ProActive shit (Which only makes your acne worse i might add), and I've used the prescription shit the doctors give you. None of those damn things worked.

Try Clinique. Literally after 2 weeks I noticed a huge difference and then 5 weeks all together my face was clear and even. But the thing with acne is you have to keep on it otherwise it comes back.. and well for about a year I couldn't afford Clinique... so my acne came roaring back with a vengance. I'm almost 20 years old and I still suffer from severe acne. I just went out and bought clinique again and within the past few days I've noticed a decline in the number of blemishes.

I doubt it's bad, Doctors notice that stuff a lot more than average people. They have to be more observant than most people. That and she probably is supposed to push that new medicine. When it comes to new products, doctors get paid a good bit of money every time they get someone to buy that new product.
