This quote sums the difference up pretty nicely for you.

I am slightly agitated by your comment, and ask you to fornicate yourself, before I move on with my life.
#58 - qwertywtf (06/19/2013) [-]
Well its that Twilight is famous for how much it sucks. Harry Potter isn't. I'm sure whatever your reason for not liking it is, it's legitimate. Whereas the reason for not liking Twilight is "having a brain". It only affects around 30% percent of the world.
User avatar #52 - wersand (06/19/2013) [-]
The difference is, one of the people who wrote there book is an author. The other, well, it's like porn, but for teenage girls.
#47 - daftiduck (06/19/2013) [-]
I respect your opinion, but I disagree with it so heavily that it's crushing my feet
#42 - N. Korean citizen (06/19/2013) [-]
It's not that I don't respect your opinion...
but your opinion is wrong
#41 - N. Korean citizen (06/19/2013) [-]
The point is the Harry Potter haters are unnoticeable.
User avatar #37 - thepandaking (06/19/2013) [-]
they're very different, it's fine if you don't like harry potter, I just don't think it's fair to say they're similar.
#106 - mcroflskates (21 hours ago) [-]
"same to me"
In no way said "they're exactly the same and here are reasons," he just meant he doesn't like either of them.
His opinion, and to be completely honest I'm with him on it.
The actual novels are alright to me, and the cult followings of each can easily annoy me.
User avatar #255 - thepandaking (13 hours ago) [-]
No I know that's his opinion, and I was just stating mine that I don't think that's a fair comparison. I enjoyed the books and the movies were pretty good, but I'm no hardcore fan. I reaaally hate all of the cult followings I totally agree with you. the Pottermore shit really bothers me, and when friends interrupt a conversation that has nothing to do with it to tell me about how Harry Potter should have or could have ended, I tell them to shut their whore mouths, because I don't care about that shit, I just like the books for what they are.

I must disagree.. the two are nothing alike..
Though, personally, I didn't like Harry Potter that much myself, but it's definitely better than Twilight.

What really bugged me about Harry Potter was the magic... there was simply too much "PEW PEW, MAGIC GUN WANDS!" rather than anything actually interesting or magical.
User avatar #77 - yusay (22 hours ago) [-]
Did you watch the movies or read the books? Serious question I'm asking, no offense.
User avatar #248 - darthblam (14 hours ago) [-]
Only seen the movies, and I'm mostly just talking about the movies. I understand the books probably had more interesting use of magic, but yeah.. nothing really cool in the movie except for the short fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore.
User avatar #282 - yusay (11 hours ago) [-]
That's what I thought. The later movies did have much more of that feeling. I didn't like movies 4, 5 and 6 because of how much story they cut out.
User avatar #260 - thepandaking (13 hours ago) [-]
yeah, the books made it feel like it wasn't so much of that pew pew wand lasers stuff. I'm not a hardcore fan so don't think I'm taking a superior tone talking about the books, I just think they gave it a better light than the movie.

That isn't Super Saiyan 2. Those are Super Saiyan Grade 2 and Super Sayain Grade 3. Vegeta and Trunks primarily used Grade 2, Goku used it briefly. Trunks only used Grade 3 once, as did Goku. Then there's Ascended Super Saiyan, which Goku and Gohan had reached.

well i guess that confirms what i've suspected all along, youre a giant retard
#37 - N. Korean citizen (05/31/2013) [-]
Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta never achieved SSJ2 in the Cell saga, nor were they able to. The most they could go was Ultra Super Saiyan, which is what Trunks used against Cell.

In JLU, Flash went so fast he nearly became part of the Speed Force
User avatar #87 - fukermanjensen (05/21/2013) [-]
imagine lex luthor or deathstroke with those powers. Superman and the rest of the DC universe would be fucked. I think there was a LJA: U episode were the flash and Lex traded bodies/minds. And he wipes the floor with multiple bad asses
#91 - grrphc (05/21/2013) [-]
Superman can access the Speed Force.
He's used the Infinite Mass Punch multiple times.
User avatar #233 - fukermanjensen (05/22/2013) [-]
when was that may i ask? it's always fun to read where superman gets any unique aspect of another character's powerset just "added" to his own for no reason but, "fuck it, he needs more OPness". And I am definitely glad the new 52 supes apparently cant, as they already showed flash outspeeding big blue. He's cool and all, but the writers break more plot logic with supes and bats more than bleach and naruto....
#235 - grrphc (05/22/2013) [-]
Mm, The Flash is definitely faster than Superman, but only in Flash Rebirth is he shown to leave Superman behind as if he were an average human.
But yeah, I agree, I think it's stupid how Superman ALWAYS gets stronger. Like, ridiculously stronger. Sure they can say the "Oh the yellow sun..." but it's getting ridiculous.
