This is my 4th account. None of my others were ever well known. I keep thinking I'm finally gonna be done with this site but the truth is, I love it too much to leave.

I have never uploaded content because I have no artistic or story telling ability but I always vote when I think content is especially good or bad.

I guess I leave it to your personal discretion. If you're convinced your mother will make your sister's life a living hell for the year, then don't do anything. If you think reconciliation is possible, then convince your sister to try.

but uhhh... don't confess for your sister, that'd be the worst action.

Sorry, this is making me feel really sad, for your sister to need to live in such fear.
To be supressed for who she is. Atleast she got you who can support her.
But I do suggest that your sister or together look at these gay community forums
for advice.

We don't have a steady father figure and aren't close with much of our family anymore. My sister seems to have a plan for what's up . Guess she's just gonna keep quiet until she turn 18, tell my mom and ditch.

It's up to your sister, talk it through with her. Look up
some gay community forums sites for people who have a similiar
situations as your sister. Because she isn't the only one. She sure ain't the only one. Help your sister, let her know you are there for her no matter what.
You will never damage such relationship if you are close.

But she should tell, eitherway. Doesn't matter when, but she does need
to prepared.

I did have a mother who told me and my brother, it was okay if we
ever were to bisexual, homosexual, trans w/e. But I know not
all people think this way.

I my mom has led us to believe we may be kicked out of the house or even disowned if we were to come out as anything but "normal, healthy" adults.

I know my sister's gotta be terrified. She wouldn't even say it to me aloud. She texted it to me from literally four feet away from me.

Parents often accept homosexuality if one of their children is a homosexual.

On the whole "you making her gay" thing. It doesn't work that way. You are either born straight or not simple as that.

But darkness is the absence of light, and since the light receptors in the eyes or the parts of the brain that interpret the signals from said receptors are defunct, how can they "see" anything but darkness?

If the brain cannot find light, it's gonna tell you it's dark.
#28 - jumperzero (12/11/2014) [-]
yeah but most blind people ive known say they can sense things, like large volumes in a room, or light sources >.> idk
User avatar #32 - donbionicle (12/11/2014) [-]
That's because very few blind people are actually 100% blind-most of some basic functionality left in the rods. So they can get some half-impessions of the spaces around them and they can usually tell night from day.

Better to tell your mom now. If she comes out at 18 and your mom really is a homophobe then your mom could just reflexively kick her out. If you want there to be any love between the two of them then better to come out now and for there to be a year of mom coming to terms with gay daughter and hopefully learning to live with it.

sexual play among children is pretty normal... usually westermarck effect prevents it from being between family but meh... You shouldn't consider her exploring sexual pleasure at that age to have resulted in her becoming homosexual... Generally speaking it's a largely genetic predisposition.
User avatar #166356 - shuckmywang (12/11/2014) [-]
My sister plans on leaving as soon as she turns 18 anyway but you're right expect things would be incredibly tense at home until my mom came to terms with things.

Make subtle suggestions, or ask questions about homosexuality.
Like did you know 1/5 out of every group of people is gay, what
would you think about us if we ever were gay, Or what do you think
about homosexuals, we got a few on my school/job etc, Stupid subtle
suggestions.

I don't think either of you should run away from the problem. Because
you can't run away forever. It will make a very miserable living.
Because you need to carry a secret with you from who you dearly love.
That secret of who you really are, so she would be living a lie and no one
will be happy that way, everyone wants to be who they are, be accepted
and not be ashamed of who they are, I suggest you think this through
with your sister. But she should tell your mother, and you can support her
with it. Because believe me keeping secrets is a heavy burden.

Because what choice does your mother have,
accept your sister for who she is, or lose her daughter?A mother wil always love her children.
User avatar #166347 - shuckmywang (12/11/2014) [-]
Every time I bring up anything about homosexuality to my mom it sparks a big argument which leaves us both furious in the end. It would make life unbearable at home if I started doing that. Plus my sister would think I was trying to oust her to my mom and I don't wanna damage our relationship. We're very close.
