Lean muscle can help you burn calories throughout the day whereas running will make you lose high calories but only for a short time, if you want to keep a lot of your mass but tone down on fat i'd suggest high rep low weight to build some lean muscle, but don't alienate large weights completely, and don't jog on a treadmill for an hour, sprint for 5 minutes. thats what i do when im shreddin, hope this helps

Thanks, I used to jog a lot and lost a lot of weight but some muscle. Started lifting again but of course I got some fat. I think this will be cool.
