 I never said the judicial system didn't fuck up in punishing her or that it's not unfair. I said that at the very least employers ARE gonna peek into her past and there's no way in fucking hell she'd ever get a teaching job again. This isn't a maybe- when you go to get a job as a teacher or to get your teaching certificate they make you pass a background check. If you have anything like this in your past- nope, not gonna happen. Nobody in the business world ares about how hot you are beyond just retail. A serious job, colleges- all will look at her background, see this and possibly not even notice her. Is it a bum wrap that she doesn't have charges filed against her? Yes. Would it be preferable? Sure. It'd be absolutely wonderful if she was also forced to register as a sex offender.. but they look at age differences here too. If the kid was 16 and she 21, they can stretch it so she doesn't have to register. A man would have to register, you're right. But at the very fucking least you can contend to the fact that this is going to follow her for the rest of her life, she will never be a teacher again, she will likely never work with children again. The stigma will also follow her since her face was plastered onto the news... she'd have to move towns, maybe even move states. Did she get enough of a punishment? No. Is bitching about it instead of looking for the positive gonna help? Nope. | ||
