However, they are in different families - wolves belong to the family Canidae, the dog family, whilst all bears belong to the family Ursidae. The other families in the Caniformia include Mustelidae (weasel family), Procyonidae (raccoon family), Otariidae (eared seal family) and Phocidae (true seal family).
