red delicious and granny smith are both pretty shit eating apples.
red delicious just plain suck. And there are better apples than granny smiths for eating if you like the sour taste.
red's skin is too thick, both the skin and flesh are bland and the flesh is too dry. they also leave a poor aftertaste.

Fuji and honeycrisps are my favorite and both are vastly superior to red's or granny smiths. pink lady and jazz apples are also quite delicious.

the only way anyone in their right mind would claim red delicious is the best apple is if they had never tried anything else.

The skin is the best part you heathen. Honeycrisp is bland compared to the sweetness of a Red Delicious and Fuji aren't much better. All apples are good, but only one is best. Pink Lady has a distinct taste, but it just doesn't have the "Bam" that a red delicious does. Jazz apples are just the bastard child of an Empire and Pacific Rose.

seriously man, red delicious are literally the worst eating apples in the world. their only use is baking, and even then they are outdone by granny smith. they fucking suck. Have you ever even had any other type of apple.

Listen here you little shit. Red delicious taste sweet and juicy, they are by far the best apple and require no add ons to make them best. Granny Smiths are sour and you'll eventually get tired of them. With red delicious they instantly make anything better, and their color is brightest.
