captainprincess (01/13/2016) [-] No sane man COULD love halo tbh I can admit I say the following having only played halo 2 but its dull as shit If I've to settle for some kind of fictional armor, I'd settle for a Warframe of some sort I wouldnt even have to have the tenno connection I'd get straight in the motherfucker gimmie an Oberon suit King of the fuckin space forest biatch plus get a load of those fuck-fabulous heels well kinda? its been suggested theres a surrogate body inside which would mean it is a suit in some sense Could always skin it and wear it like a pelt When they hell was anything like that suggested? It's a symbiotic relationship between the operator and the Warframe When they talked about finding minds or bodies powerful enough for the tenno to control pay attention when the ghosts of the orokin are talking Well its why I said it's been suggested Interpretation is a strong factor Talking shit bout Halo? Fuck outta here. I'll put a MAC round through your house. How do you find the games dull? I think they're fairly fast-paced, compared to most games. Call of Duty has faster pacing, but Battlefield, Rainbow Six, and Battlefront (those are the shooters I've played this year) are all much less frenetic. I'll talk shit about them all I want I just find that whole -genre_ more or less dull really even putting a space filter on it, which usually gets me on board, just didn't do the trick I just can't be having with that militaristic shooter game theyre all dull to me Hey, if you don't like shooters, you don't like shooters. Although I am a bit confused by your qualifier of "militaristic." Aren't shooters by nature military related, except for Splatoon? Anyway, people keep telling me about how great Bloodborne and Dark Souls are, but I don't care for them because I don't like Japanese media in general (their stories get a little out there) and because I didn't like their style. They are critically acclaimed games, but not my thing. I think it's excessive to say liking one of the biggest juggernauts of the video game world makes you insane, though. Halo 5 made $400 million in a week despite being exclusive to Xbox One, which is the less popular console this gen. I'd say a good number of people like the franchise. Similarly, as much as I want to hate CoD, the gunplay just feels too goddamn good. I don't want to give them my money, because Activision's pretty awful, but the games are fun. Well not necessarily Warframe as an example is a shooter also But it plays to a very different feel to the halos or the codblopses It's not militaristic at all, infact the game's only faction resembling a military is one of your biggest enemies, you playing in a sort of space-shogunate of magically empowered gun-toting ninjas who can do all kinds of crazy parkour and flips and wall-running and wearing long flow yscarves and swinging things like giant hammers to japanomans swords to a hand-axe with a shotgun attached to it all the while being able to do shit like fling fireballs or call down a cannon-barrage of giant water-droplets or summon the souls of vanquished enemies to fight for you as ghostly thralls it's faster and more frantic than even the halo games I'd say And you can have a space dog that can do things like fetch items or pin down key enemies or howl and scare them away I'd be far more into the darksouls and bloodborne games if they had a space filter on them too Im a sucker for sci fi, which is what makes halo such a disappointment to me, because its one of the few things where a space filter fails to keep me interested, it just has that dull "trudge along here and blap blap waves of enemies with unsatsfying guns" feel to it, despite warframe doing the same exact thing, it manages to have a different energy about it idk I feel like the halo games take the most boring elements of that military shooter genre and try to work with that, instead of some far better arrangement of it's elements Imagine if, for instance, the mjolnir suit felt somewhat like the power armor in fallout 4, or like an ultramarine in that Space Marine game Like you could stomp around with heft and barge people over and your guns didnt go brakkabrakka they when KATHOOM KATHOOM or something The weapon sounds have gotten a lot meaner in more recent Halo games, and Spartan abilities like thruster packs and shoulder charges were added to Mjolnir. It seems like what you like are some of the more ridiculous aspects of sci-fi (I don't mean it as a criticism, I just don't know how else to describe it) whereas Halo is definitely more hard sci-fi, with very real limitations on everything. It also seems like you prefer bulkier and weightier power armor, but I like the mobility and grace that Mjolnir permits. Also, Halo feels nothing whatsoever like CoD. Halo has power weapons, vehicles, totally different movement, completely different damage tables, and very disparate weapons. CoD's only game changers as far as power goes are score streaks. Still I remind you I say all of this from Halo 2 as perspective But yeah the whole idea of taking sci fi and then applying realworld limiters to it feels like a waste It feels like you're fighting against yourself and at that point why be sci fi at all Halo is hard sci-fi. It avoid the more fantastical elements, while still shooting for grand technology and massive scale, just within a more possible scope. Soft sci-fi pertains less to science fact and scientific explanation, and more to extremely advanced and unexplained tech. hard sci fi just feels like wasted potential to me same as low-magic fantasy or wahtever it is it rings in my mind as a failure to commit and exploit the genre for the very best it can offer It's called low-fantasy, not just low-magic, because it probably features fewer fictional races and other stuff like that other than just magic. That's just your appetite. Personally, I don't like everything being taken to ridiculous extremes. I like things to stay more grounded, but with enough different elements to keep it different from realistic fiction. That's why my favorite futuristic franchise is Halo, my favorite fantasy-esque franchise is A Song of Ice and Fire, and my favorite superhero is (more recent era) Batman. I don't care much for magic or exaggerated technologies, so I stick with the more grounded franchises. To clarify about the Batman point, Batman comics are only moderately less ridiculous than other superhero comics, but his recent extended media has been considerably less goofy. I do like comics in general, though, with the exception of a handful of DC characters and just about all of Marvel for the last 3 years.

She is attractive to me the way she is. 2) if the girl wasn't attractive, you probably wouldn't be dating her in the first place. Your knowledge of her past wouldn't change her physical appearance. 3) Would you stop dating someone whom you loved just because they couldn't have kids? Adoption is always an option, or surrogacy. If you don't want kids anyway, it's not a problem. #79 -

I wasn't using attractiveness necessarily as an argument, more just an additional thing to tack on. calmyourtits (20 hours ago) [-] Disclaimer: some of these might not fit the kind of type of song people would call "sad", but I consider them as such. Her name is Calla - Pour more oil Mono - The Battle to heaven Sigur Rós - Varúð Pygmy Lush - It's A Good Day To Hide Salvia Palth - Like you know i get old Laura - Mark the day Apparat - Silizium The next ones most people wouldn't like, but I love to hear them when I'm depressed (they're all from the same guy): Have a Nice Life - Earthmover Have a Nice Life - Bloodhail Have a Nice Life - Holy Fucking Shit: 40,000 Giles Corey - No one is ever going to want me Black Wing - If I Let Him In Black Wing - My Body Betrayed Me Have a Nice Life - I Don't Love (fucking beast of a song) And one of my personal favs, the last part of the song, Thom Yorke - Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses ![]() Sigur Ros did a rendition of one of my favorite songs from fiction: The Rains of Castamere. I really liked their version, but I liked the one by The National a bit better. I think it works more with the deep voice. Save Me - Globus Bother - Stone Sour Fiction - Avenged Sevenfold (last song written solely by their drummer before he died of an overdose - more to the story too) I Remember, by Devendra Banhart and the entire album Flaws by Bombay Bicycle Club. I don't know, you haven't made a dancing animation in a while... If you want to mention Eyedea and feels, you HAVE to mention Atmosphere's "Flicker", about Eyedea's death. Good feels. The Show Must Go On by Queen. It was recorded while Freddie was dying of AIDS. Makes me tear up every time I hear it. | Dynamic IPs are a thing. Someone gets banned on one IP. They either force a change or wait for their ISP to assign a new one. Anon then incidentally gets assigned the banned IP. It's actually a somewhat common thing. In fact, the IP my phone had around a week ago was banned from all boards because of some post on /soc/, which I've never even been to. Luckily, it was a ban that expired the day before, so all I had to do to end the ban was go to 4chan.org/banned. It wouldn't have been a big deal anyway since a simple reboot normally assigns a new IP to my phone. I was IP banned from FJ for that reason. Got stuck with a banned IP 2 times in a row, and had to ask to get unbanned both times. Is the response on that fast here? I feel like it would just be easier to force an IP renewal. I don't know, I was only banned on my mobile network, not my actual internet. #3 -

| Also, not adjusted for inflation. Pretty sure Gone With The Wind is still top once you do. Cunts try to say Prequels are objectively better cuz they made more money than the original trilogy. Then ignore that they made only a bit more and tickets cost a few times as much Who would call the prequels better than the originals, except for maybe ROTS vs ROTJ? You shouldn't pick on the mentally handicapped. It's completely retarded to think popularity coincides with quality. The fourth Transformers made more than Saving Private Ryan, that does not make it a better film. | ||

| You just said Canada could fight the U.S., that's more absurd bragging than anything I said. Son, at no point did I say that. In fact, if you go back and look at it, you'd see that I was AGREEING WITH YOU that we probably could ban knives and blunt objects in addition to automatic and concealable weapons. You just chose to read it as an attack on your glorious 'Murica because that's what neanderthals do when they don't understand something: they get defensive and violent. It's OK, you can't help that you were raised to believe that anything that disagrees with you needs to be shot and pissed on while you salute the stars and stripes as you ravage a bald eagle anally, I get it. Welcome to the internet, with your attitude you're going to get angry a lot, sweetheart. I didn't choose to read it any way. Maybe you could write in full sentences next time. All you wrote was "we probably could" as if that means anything. Look at my comment history, I'm never angry at anything. Hell, I'm not angry now. It's more a feeling of pity that you clearly lack any education that the internet didn't give you. Additionally, how is referring to Americans as "sheep afraid of anything that moves" to be taken as anything other than an insult? What the fuck do you even mean, that you could ban knives and blunt objects? How would you cook anything without knives? Also, a blunt object is anything solid without an edge, while a knife covers most things with edges. Are you saying you want to ban physical constructs that aren't padded or soft? That seems very Canadian of you. "Everything I've said has been either factually wrong or incredibly stupid. I know, I'll call him mad 3 times. That'll show him." | ||

| They could've at least included Lady Stoneheart, Victarion, and Patchface. I'd be happy with just those three inclusions honestly. Also not nerfing the Mannis into an evil demon worshiper. VICTARION The Salty Sea Cuck! I actually like him too, he's gonna wreck some shit I can feel it. Agreed about the Stannis thing. The creators totally dropped the ball. In the book his theme was balancing god and country, family and duty. In the show it's "reeeeee I deserve to be king at any cost reeeeeeeee!" Character assassination at it's worst. #41 -
ashendashin (01/13/2016) [-] Stannis' court fool that follows the daughter around with his bells yeah but to have lady stoneheart means to have all the characetrs shes involved with, it means having to then invest in her storyline which is alot of money, and if the story doesnt really advance the main storyline then its pointless for the show. stuff like that is better for books because books can do lots of side storyliens without considering cost. but on a show they have a budget and have to work within that budget.

Did anyone get you a designated pissing sink for Christmas?
Holy **** , did you really archieve your profile in one month? Are you online 24/7 or how is this possible?
Huh? I don't know what you mean by that. If it has something to do with levels or thumbs, I mostly comment on posts with around 100 thumbs that will probably reach the front page, so I have several comments with hundreds of thumbs.
I was just curious. You archieved in 1 month what I did in 5 years

Holy **** a mod. I actually had an account a few years ago, and I've been lurking for a long time, so I think I generally get everything. Never been on the boards, though.
Sweet, thanks. What boards are actually on here? I might check them out.
