Here's the thing: I'm not a filmmaker. Not every professional is exempt from criticism simply because a random individual can't do it better. I could not pour the concrete foundation for my house, because I lack both the resources and knowledge to do so. That doesn't mean that if it's sloped horribly and leaves the house completely uneven that I have no right to complain; whoever did the job is a professional, they should do their job correctly.

It's 4 boards and cement. It's really not that complicated. Here's a slightly more complicated version. You surround the area with walls and you pour cement. It's seriously not that hard.

Yes, you're right - you can critique something you can't make. That wasn't the point. They made a movie based on a comic. You're unhappy with that. Not with the story itself or anything - you don't appear to be critiquing that. You just appear to be whining that it's not based off of the bible. Therefore: go make your own movie.

Seriously, anyone with $20 can make a movie. It's not that hard. trillion hours of youtube video is testament to that.

Nope, the shitty comic adaptations of important cultural stories and their shitty movie versions were what I disliked. If you're going to base a work on something already created, you should make sure they bear at least the slightest relation to each other. I also dislike retarded, overly CGI'd, effects driven films with plots that may as well have been written by a middle schooler. And if were so simple and easy to execute, it wouldn't have happened that my aunt's house had a foundation that was sloped by four fucking inches. She legitimately could not live there, because of some fuckup contractor. She couldn't do it alone, so she got someone who's job it was to do it, and he fucked up. She has every right to criticize his work.

Ah, so the same method as the 300 series; if the original source material isn't interesting enough, create a ridiculous stylized adaptation in the form of a comic/graphic novel. Then make a bad to mediocre film based on the comic.

New International Version
After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

This is just my guess but I think this is the swordplaced to protect Eden. Also. Genius 3:24.

This...

Most of the shit in that movie actually was in the bible (minus a little filler), and it made people uncomfortable because it was so radically different not from the bible but from all of the other renditions of Noah we have seen over the years with Steve Carell not being able to shave a beard, just as god intended and so it was written.

Actual discrepancy examples
It wasn't explicitly stated in the Bible that Noah tried to kill his family like in the movie.
It was stated in the Bible that Noah got hammered and was found bare ass face down in the sand by his sons, and he banished the one that found him first. (his son didn't leave of his own accord like in the movie)

I know people that got really upset about the bare ass thing because "Hollywood was making a mockery out of Noah".
#69 - lujan (12/22/2015) [-]
Also not to mention the several books left out of the bible by the council. Such as the Book of Enoch, which I think anyone who is Christian or wants to learn about Christianity should read.

Well, Jesus wants to reset the server and start anew and only lets his top moderator in on the gig, you know that, right? So, Noah, as the guy was named, starts collecting all his loot, companions and pets and shit onto a giant backup he dubs "The Ark". Problem is almost all the players just said "fuck it" and straight out quit the game a bit before the server reset, which left the game world with an abundance of high level agroed monsters with noone to fight, so naturally they pathfound their way to the only character in range, then Noah used some cheats, but it was cool, coz reset anyway, kills them all and gets his Jennifer Connely waifu and Hermoine Granger loli characters on the backup and GGs.

Like most movie makers, they chose not to read the book before making the film in order to prevent from getting a biased view of the story in their creative decisions. They did get it spoiled that there was something about a guy and a boat so they had to include that in it.

Yes, the story was inspired by an English succession conflict called the War of the Roses, and other events share a historical basis. For example, the Red Wedding was based off of an event called the Black Dinner in Scottish history. However, the magic and monsters are a major part of the story.
