I didn't get hit by After Story much mainly because I last watched it like 6 years ago when I was 12 or something and had no idea what was going on. It would probably hit me harder now so I should rewatch it.

But even then we hardly fucking knew this chick, it's hard to say why everyone was scarred for life over it, it couldn't have been just because she's a child.

It's possible we could relate to the anguish and melancholy of the main characters who were clearly suffering from it, but it was more comparable to a scene reaction with "Oh shit." or "Oh man that's terrible." But without anything with me to emotionally relate to, I don't really understand how I could get the overhyped feels.

And in case anyone says it, my feels aren't broken. Because Clannad and Angel Beats got me like everyone else because the emotional attachment was very heavy and very relateable.

I remember that one. It was on halloween and a few guys were in these mega creepy clown masks and swinging axes around in public areas and chasing people for like a short distance to scare them off.
