He's a dick who will settle for nothing less than all of the seven kingdoms. He risks everything to march to battle at Winterfell, and refuses to be halted by anyone's council. He's cruel, a fool, and the most stoic son of a bitch on the show. BUT, at least he's not killing whores in his chambers, or roasting knights in their armor and calling it fair combat. He is not a very nice man, but he is the true heir to the iron throne, a fine tactition, and has the makings of a decent king. Plus, he had that really heartfelt scene with his daughter a few episodes back that made everyone go, "Awww."
