No it's not. The only people who think it is are those who do not WANT to help themselves.

When you suggest someone lock their doors in case someone tries to break in to steal their stuff, they never scream about how you're blaming them for the robbery, everyone knows it's just a precaution, and indeed, with every crime. It's only when rape comes into it that all that is thrown out the window

Yeah, that's what I mean dude. These people don't want to accept the fact that rape prevention is unfortunately something the victim has to do, hence why it's hard to suggest this and simply sounds like victim blaming.

I totally agree with you, the idea of prevention for some reason vanishes when the subject is rape. Hell, even murder people accept methods of caution, but only with rape does it seem to be something hard to acknowledge for them...
