So I bought the aperture tshirt online, as well as the long fall socks from the Valve store. The light grey colour round my waist was actually cheap leggings I cut the legs off from to make them into shorts because it was so damn warm in that costume, the blue is a vest top, and the orange is actually a cheap convict fancy dress outfit I got from amazon that I chopped and changed slightly so I could tie it round my waist and it looked okay will add white bandages around wrists which Chell has and dark orange patches to the knees and i'll probably take the orange leg bits in slightly cause atm they're slightly too baggy

First of all I gotta make fun of you for not only having a typo, but also completely contradicting yourself in your first two sentences <3 .
Quantifying culture is something immensely difficult to do, but when the number one most pervasive cultural force in the world, is from a country that was born and raised by people of all walks of life, from every corner of the globe: I think it's pretty much up there.

The only cultural thing that Europeans have a grasp on is being pretentious Good example by the way .
American culture has permeated most every country in the world in a day to day basis. Whether by the food you eat, the clothes you wear, what you watch, aesthetics, etc - even if we lump the entirety of Europe as one entity; despite the massively longer and varied history, there's not a whole lot they contribute to our daily lives.
User avatar
#214 - senseiweasel (10/22/2015) [-]
Ah, but my point isn't that American culture sin't pervasive. It is, undoubtably. America is 100% the greatest cultural force in the world. It still doesn't mean "most" culture comes from there. Most exported, definitely. That still doesn't mean that countries with their own cultures are "mostly" Americanised. We are aware of, and even love, your culture. You don't have a clue about ours. Just because you're not aware of our culture doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Just that you're ignorant.

you do realize the fact is we absorb cultures into our own
like for instance what you think of as american food came from other cultures was then mixed with other cultures food and became something new and exciting
we are aware of other cultures and because of this we are able to assimilate them into our own
it is a glorious thing is it not

#8 - speedosnake (10/22/2015) [-]
It's a concept similar to the one in the 5th panel that claims that the earth is a shell with all of the "observable universe" contained in the middle, thus explaining the night sky. This is different from panel 5, because panel 5 is suggesting that we live on the outside, and there is a whole separate surface in the center with it's own tiny sun. If I recall correctly, the Nazis went so far with this idea that they placed observation stations far away from the allies with the intention that they would simply look up at the correct angle to observe enemy movements this went about as well as you would expect. . Wacky stuff.
