Both Hillary & Trump can be considered "populists" because people argue they appeal to the current fears of the public, like terrorism and refugees, and illegal immigration. Although that would only be true if their plans were things like "I hate terrorism", but both candidates have laid out actual policies for how they'll handle the current issues, so as long as they can get support from congress which tbh I have trouble seeing... it won't be as bad as people say.

Yeah Congress is made up of people who all have their own ideas for how things should run, it's just their divided into 2 groups who they share a lot of ideas with, the Republicans and Democrats, but when the president shows up with a bill or a plan that needs Congress' approval, it's guaranteed that at least one side of congress is going to hate it because they aren't with the same political party as the president. So they spend days, weeks, months, chewing up this bill and warping it and changing it until eventually 66% of the house agrees with it and reflects almost nothing about the original plan. A lot of people have a problem with Congress because it's the republicans/democrats trying to get more control so they can have more influence in bills that they like.

Yeah, it is, and we told him that. But he just developed this idea that rejecting you was mean, but leading you on while he had a boyfriend was A-OK. And any attempt to reason with him lead to the same cycle of "I dont want to be mean" -> "I don't want to hurt him" -> "I don't want anyone to confront him in my place" -> I don't want to be mean" and so on. If it were up to me I would've told you a month ago but he was so against other people getting involved that no one could.
